Part 4 of 4 of Sources. Base: the gateway layer.

/sources replaces Integrations in the sidebar (the /integrations pages keep working and are linked from the connect flow).

  • List: every source with platform, health, last data and token prefix; the default source pinned first.
  • Connect: pick a platform (OpenTelemetry SDKs, Kubernetes, Docker, host, browser, AI gateway, Claude Code, or an integration), name it with optional rules, then copy the one-time token with the setup snippet for that platform. The page waits for the first request and flips to "Receiving data".
  • Source page: overview (health and why it is unhealthy, last data, 24h volume, rules), setup, settings. Token sources can be paused (1 hour, 24 hours, until resumed), resumed, rolled and deleted; the default source and integrations take no rules and link to where they are configured.
list connect
name and rules token, receiving
detail paused
settings mobile

Verification

  • Driven in the local dev stack: create, first data, pause and resume from the page, settings, mobile (the table was fixed after the first mobile pass).
  • Web typecheck; sources.test.ts and two browser test files (6 tests).
  • Not yet: the 24h volume chart with real data (the local warehouse was not receiving writes); checked on the preview.

Stack: #1535 model → #1536 integrations → #1537 gateway → #1538 UI

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • New Features
    • Added a Sources area to browse and manage connected data sources, with status, recent activity, and usage details.
    • Added guided source setup for supported platforms, including copyable configuration examples and a newly created token.
    • Added controls to edit source settings, configure signals, rate limits, expiry, and resource attributes, pause or resume ingestion, rotate tokens, and delete sources.
    • Added Sources links to the app navigation and command palette.

/sources replaces Integrations in the sidebar: a list of everything that sends data,
a connect flow (platform, name and rules, one-time token with setup snippets, first
data watch) and a source page with overview, setup and settings tabs.
The status badge reads the API's health, failing and stale sources explain why, and
integration sources link to their integration instead of offering token actions.

The Sources UI is mostly sound. Two small defects should be fixed: the 24-hour chart can be shifted by an hour, and the copied setup snippet may not authenticate with some SDKs.

The detail route's search schema imported its tab list from source-detail, which put the
whole detail graph (setup snippets, install modal, highlighter) in the startup bundle:
945.9 KB against a 710.5 KB budget. The tab list now lives in source-tabs.ts; startup is
710.9 KB, budget 712 KB for the sidebar entry and route-tree additions.

🟢 Confidence 9/10 · safe to merge
The token/ID url handling checks out (public-id.ts round trip) and the reserved-key rules match the server; only the settings save payload is untested.
quality 98/100 · 1 note · tests partial · risk medium

Adds the Sources UI: list, connect flow with the one-time token, and the source detail tabs with pause/resume/roll/delete. Safe to merge; the ID and token handling match the gateway contract.

  • sourcesListAtom collects every page and every mutation refreshes it
  • CreateSourceForm posts name plus rules and hands the one-time secret up in memory
  • SourceActions pauses with an absolute until, rolls and deletes with confirmation
  • SourceSettings sends only name/description for token-less sources

Findings

🔵 Note · F1 · The settings save payload has no test

tests · apps/web/src/components/sources/source-settings.tsx:34-39

The three new test files cover create, actions and snippets, but not this form: the branch that omits expires_at when the choice is "keep" (line 37) and the branch that sends only name/description for the default and integration sources (line 35) are the two places a regression silently clears a live expiry or 400s on a rule field. SourceSettings is the same kind of component the repo already covers with .browser.test.tsx (settings-save-bar.browser.test.tsx, roll-api-key-dialog.browser.test.tsx); assert the three payload shapes for a token source with an expiry, without one, and for the default source.

Add `source-settings.browser.test.tsx` covering: a token source with a stored `expires_at` left on "Keep current" sends no `expires_at`; choosing "Never" sends `expires_at: null`; the default source sends only `name` and `description`.

  • V2Source.id decodes to a raw UUID and toPublicSourceId re-encodes it, so the src_ URL param round-trips (public-id.ts:174)
  • Client reserved-attribute rule matches the server's org_id/maple_ check (SourcesService.ts:47)

Preview test (app-pr-1538.maple.dev, commit 1c1f70a)

Run by a separate agent with only the PR context. Server side through the preview API and the real ingest gateway:

Flow Result
Sidebar, /sources list Default source pinned first, "Waiting for data"
Create Node.js source 200, one-time maple_src_ secret, health pending; the secret is not returned again
Send OTLP trace with the token 200; health healthy within ~20 s
Stored span attributes maple_source_id = the source's own src_ id; a sender-supplied src_spoofed123 was overwritten; maple_ingest_key_type=source
Bad token 401 ingest_unauthorized
Pause 1 h paused; sends get 200 and are dropped (not stored); resume back to healthy
Limit to traces after the cache window: logs 403 ingest_signal_not_allowed, traces 200
Roll old token 401 and new token 200 after the cache window
Default source pause, roll, rules and delete refused with 400 and an explanation
Validation empty, whitespace, 200-char names, reserved attribute keys (maple_org_id, Maple_Source_Id, org_id), rate limit 0 and pull platforms all 400 with clear messages
Delete removed from the list, token 401
Usage endpoint hourly span counts match what was sent, minus the dropped paused request

Changes to pause, rules and roll take effect within the gateway's ~60 s key cache, as the UI toasts say.

The UI part of the run stopped after the list and the connect picker because the test browser lost its session; the connect, settings, pause and mobile screens are in the PR description from the local run and are re-checked on this preview below.

Traces from the preview (deployment.environment = pr-1538, 19:30 to 20:07 UTC)

Source service spans, p95 over the preview test:

Span p95
SourcesService.list 100 ms
SourcesService.get 43 ms
SourcesService.update 44 ms
SourcesService.roll 48 ms
SourcesService.create 35 ms
SourcesService.pause / resume 29 / 34 ms
SourcesService.delete 22 ms
SELECT sources / UPDATE sources / DELETE sources 38 / 23 / 9 ms

Example GET /v2/sources (trace 7eb2654889a590e91e9b834fe27a998f, 300 ms):

GET /v2/sources 300 ms
├─ OrganizationRegionService.ensureServedHere 202 ms (shared middleware: edge cache miss, then Clerk getOrganization 156 ms)
└─ SourcesService.list 98 ms
   ├─ SELECT sources 18 ms
└─ SELECT scrape_targets (+ the other integration reads, concurrent) 80 ms
  • No errors in pr-1538 over the window (find_errors: 0).
  • No N+1: list is one sources read plus one concurrent batch of integration reads; it writes only when an integration source is missing or gone, and calls the integration inventory only when integrations exist.
  • The remaining request time is the region check every v2 route pays on a cold edge cache, not this feature.
  • The preview ingest gateway does not export its own spans to this org (only production does), so gateway latency could not be measured here; the gateway adds one cached Postgres lookup per new key and one batched claim query per request that carries claims.

UI recheck on the redeployed preview (5be8c86): Kubernetes connect flow shows the one-time token, OTLP endpoint and the Helm command with the token filled in; one OTLP request with that token (200) flipped the page from "Waiting for first data" to "Receiving data"; the list on a 390 px viewport shows the source as Receiving with no overlap; Delete asks for confirmation and returns to the list with only the Default source. All 19 checks green.

🟢 Confidence 10/10 · safe to merge
source-settings.browser.test.tsx now pins the save payload, and every reviewable hunk of the 32 files was read with no defect found.
no findings · tests covered · risk medium · 2/2 new units observable

Adds the Sources UI: list, three-step connect flow with one-time token and setup snippets, and a source detail page with rules, pause/resume/roll/delete. Sidebar and palette now point at Sources. Contained to the web app and safe to merge.

  • /sources list pins the default source first, with health and token prefix
  • /sources/new creates a push source, shows the one-time token, then polls for first data
  • SourceSettings sends rules only for token sources and keeps a stored expiry unless changed
  • SourceActions pauses with an absolute deadline, resumes, rolls and deletes

Ports #1538: /sources, /sources/new and /sources/$sourceId with the shared list read,
rules editor, setup snippets, pause/roll/delete and the settings form. The sidebar
footer and palette point at Sources, and Ingestion links to it. Adds the sources
fixtures and parity scenarios.

… app (#1539)

* feat(web-foldkit): chat bar chart fences on the bar chart; sub-agent sheet scene test

* fix(ui-parity): the raw-route call log and fixture writes pass the root oxlint rules

No try/catch JSON parse, no conditional empty-object spreads, satisfies in place of an open record type.

* feat(local-ui-foldkit): port every local-ui page

Services list and detail, service map, logs (list, patterns, detail sheet),
metrics list and detail, errors, sessions list and detail, the query console
and trace detail, each a page Submodel wired in page/registry.ts. Queries use
the same CH builders and params as apps/local-ui, so every /local/query SQL
matches. The kit's attributesSection is exported for the span panel.

* feat(local-ui-foldkit): disconnected screen, status and traces tests

The disconnected screen gets its install tabs, copyable start command and docs
links. Tests cover the status poll's state machine, in-app history and the
traces list's entry, stale answers, filters and empty state.

* fix(local-ui-foldkit): frame the service map's first boxed layout

web-foldkit's map drops the first auto-fit when the layout has namespace
boxes, mirroring apps/web. apps/local-ui frames it, so the map config gains
isFirstBoxedFitKept (default off, web unchanged) and the local page sets it.

* test(ui-parity): mobile scenarios for the most used pages and their filter sheets

* feat(web-foldkit): shell mobile layout, page rails as sheets below lg

Below md the sidebar's reads wait for its sheet to open, as legacy's closed sheet
mounts nothing. Below lg the shell lifts the page's filter and context rails out of
the body into sheets opened from the top bar (PageLayout.FilterSidebar/RightSidebar).

* feat(web-foldkit): kit options local-ui needs

Popover gains initialFocus (first tabbable, as apps/local-ui's connect
popover) and title/description classes; the attributes panel gains a log
section title and a flag to show commit SHAs as text. Defaults keep web's
behaviour.

* fix(local-ui-foldkit): connect popover, log sheet and trace detail parity

The connect popover focuses its endpoint field and sizes its title like
legacy; the log sheet titles its attributes 'Log attributes' and shows commit
SHAs as text; trace detail ports the span hover card and keeps flow handles
measured at the unfitted zoom.

* feat(ui-parity): local-ui interaction scenarios

Filters, search, range, paging, row navigation, tabs, span selection, the
query console, the connect popover, the sidebar shortcut and the service map
focus, each on dataset local in light and dark.

* docs(foldkit): local-ui port status

* feat(web-foldkit): where-clause autocomplete in the query builder, with metric-scoped values

The where editor's suggestion list moves into page/kit (shared with the metric page), and the
query panel completes from the provider's lookups and the active key's values, scoped to the
picked metric for metrics queries. Enter no longer runs the preview (legacy never did).

* feat(web-foldkit): tooltips on disabled menu items; the Embed chart reason

menu-view items take a tooltip on a wrapper div (a disabled item takes no pointer events), backed
by one Tooltip in the menu Model. The dashboards widget menu's disabled Embed chart says why.

* feat(web-foldkit): Reconnect on the tab-behind toast recreates the org collections

OrgCollections.recreate mints a fresh set and every live stream built with orgLive moves onto it
(a root toast action, not a page Message). Legacy's own Reconnect does not resubscribe: its live
queries key on collection ids, which a recreated set keeps.

* fix(web-foldkit): logs and errors read their filter facets when the rail mounts

Legacy's filter sidebars read their facets as they render, so below lg (a closed
sheet) nothing is requested until the sheet opens. A Mount on the rail sends them.

* feat(web-foldkit): errors activity Show earlier past 50 rows; attach-PR repository select

The issue timeline mounts its latest 50 rows behind a Show earlier button, and the attach dialog
offers a repository Select when the org has several, re-reading that repository's pull requests.
A fixture dataset (errors-busy) carries a busy thread and two repositories.

* refactor(local-ui-foldkit): one series chart for both detail pages

* feat(local-ui-foldkit): query console Cancel interrupts the request

* feat(local-ui-foldkit): locale and zone from Flags; refresh re-probes and invalidates presence

* feat(web-foldkit): releases commit-sha hover card and health-pill tooltip

One overlays Submodel per releases page holds the pills' description tooltip and the commit card
(with its 20 ms arm and commit lookup); each trigger embeds it and carries the portal while the
popup is anchored to it.

* fix(web-foldkit): services mobile stat labels split like MobileStat's text nodes

* feat(web-foldkit): /chat mobile header and conversation sheet

Pages see the shell's isMobile in their view inputs, and a page's own sidebar
trigger asks the shell for the mobile sheet (RequestedSidebarToggle). Mobile
scenarios for the org switcher in the sidebar sheet and the chat sheets.

* fix(web-foldkit): analytics Events card seeds its sort column the way legacy does

The Events/Sessions head colour diff was a race, not a colour: the card picks its sort column from
whether events had landed when the breakdowns did. Legacy always sends breakdowns first; the events
read now waits a task so foldkit does too (selfcheck was flaky, now deterministic).

* fix(ui-parity): errors-busy's second repository typechecks against the handler's unknown answer

* fix(web-foldkit): lab pages typecheck against the merged errors hub row state

* feat(web-foldkit): /lab/service-map-3d over the 3D viewport Submodel

* feat(web-foldkit): /lab/gcp-dashboard over the dashboards view, sections and variables

* feat(web-foldkit): window.__dashboardGridBench for the dashboard grid perf spec

* docs(ui-parity): what the lab-worst-case waterfall race is on the Foldkit side

* feat(local-ui-foldkit): shared log sheet in a portal with the error banner, chip hover cards, span logs open it

The sheet moves to page/kit/log-sheet on the kit's Dialog (portal, outside marking, scroll lock,
focus). Parity scenarios: error log, chip card, span log, query cancel.

* fix(web-foldkit): infra pages ask the shell for useInfraSurfaces below md

The shell sends the presence probe and integration statuses with its sidebar; below md
the sidebar is unmounted, so the infra overview and workloads pages request them.

* fix(web-foldkit): error issue reads GitHub when its rail mounts

Below lg the rail is a closed sheet, so its attach dialog's GitHub reads wait for it.

* feat(ui-parity): refusals fault and a deterministic local disconnected scenario

* test(ui-parity): mobile scenarios for detail, infra, ops and code review pages

* test(ui-parity): interaction scenarios for the gcp dashboard and 3D service map labs

* feat(web-foldkit): pages see max-sm; the analytics chart narrows its margin below sm

* fix(web-foldkit): agent sessions rail detects its models when it mounts

* fix(web-foldkit): shell labs mount the Notifications regions, as legacy's root ToastProvider does on every lab page

* test(ui-parity): mobile loading and error states of the most used pages

* feat(local-ui-foldkit): saved query cache as a runtime resource, stale-data notice, cache scenarios

LocalQueryCache restores and saves legacy's maple-local:query-cache:<port> entries; a page opens on
its exact or newest older-window result. Wired for the traces list, facets and trace detail.
Scenarios seed localStorage before navigation (Scenario.localStorage).

* feat(local-ui-foldkit): cache the services catalog and the logs list, patterns and facets

* docs(foldkit): the mobile layout pattern in S8; dashboard-page notes the lifted rails

* feat(local-ui-foldkit): cache the sessions list and facets and the errors page

* feat(local-ui-foldkit): cache the metrics list, summary and sparklines

* feat(local-ui-foldkit): cache the service and metric detail reads

* feat(local-ui-foldkit): cache the session detail reads

* feat(local-ui-foldkit): cache the span panel reads and the query console tables

* test(ui-parity): local reload on an empty store refetches presence

* docs(foldkit): local-ui status

* docs(ui-parity): dashboards-view-behind-reconnect is a documented legacy-bug divergence

* feat(web-foldkit): infra correlation panel in the log sheet and span panel

Ports InfraCorrelationPanel once as page/kit/infra-correlation: pod, node,
container and host charts, series read through the read cache under the
legacy atom keys, the window snapped like legacy. Adds data, empty and
loading parity scenarios for both hosts.

* feat(web-foldkit): pointer drag reordering of list widget columns

The grip drags its row (MountListColumnDrag); each sibling centre crossed is
a MovedListColumn, as Motion's onReorder fires live, so the previews and the
saved column order match legacy. Adds the widget-list-drag scenario.

* fix(web-foldkit): measure a chart's plot box with the fallback drawn

Legacy's PlotFrame measures in a layout effect after the chart rendered at
its 320 px fallback, so a fixed-height flex item keeps its height instead of
shrinking. The Mount measured first and shrank local metric cards on mobile.

* feat(local-ui-foldkit): service map rows through the result cache

The map's rows get Effect Schemas checked both ways against the shared row
types, so FetchServiceMap reads and records LocalQueryCache under legacy's
windowed key and opens on an older window while the current one loads.

* fix(web-foldkit): drop page Messages from an older instance of the same page

Page Messages (Command results, toast actions, view events and Subscription output) are
stamped with the slot key and org they were produced for, and the registry only delivers
them to that instance.

* fix(web-foldkit): analytics events answer lands after the breakdowns, without a timer

Drops the 1 ms wait on the events read. Both reads still leave together,
breakdowns first, as legacy sends them; an events answer that beats the
breakdowns is held in the model until they settle, so the Events card seeds
its sort the way legacy's arrival order does. Issuing order alone was not
enough: selfcheck flaked 1 in 3 on the response race.

* fix(web-foldkit): a repository's late rules save leaves another repository's dialog alone

* fix(web-foldkit): closing the create-key dialog mid-create keeps the create in flight and its secret

* fix(web-foldkit): a destination save stays in flight across a reopen and settles only its own form

* fix(web-foldkit): a GCP wizard write stays in flight across a reopen and drives only its own wizard

* fix(web-foldkit): chat waits for the history before sending, and parses a streaming answer one version at a time

A send before the history was read bumped the generation, so the history was dropped for good
and the preamble and tab rename ran again. The markdown cache now keeps only on-screen bodies,
coalesces streaming parses and shows the previous parse instead of plain paragraphs.

* fix(web-foldkit): the chat sheet drops a previous thread's late answers

Every sheet conversation started at generation 1, so thread A's late history landed in B.
Conversation messages now carry their tab id, like the chat page.

* fix(web-foldkit): one widget add and one navigation per dashboard pick

* fix(web-foldkit): the code-review sheet never shows the previous review while the next loads

Opening review B kept A's detail on screen as Refreshing, and B's failure settled onto A's data.
Legacy mounts a fresh ReviewDetailBody per review, so the slots start empty.

* feat(local-ui-foldkit): mobile sheets, chip JSON view, cache parity

- Below md the sidebar is a sheet behind the header trigger, and PageShell's
Filters button opens a left drawer with a copy of the page's rail.
- The chip card renders JSON values as CollapsibleJsonValue, its copy button
with a hover tooltip; card clicks reach the row as React portals do.
- Load-more pages are recorded with the list, unused results leave the
in-memory cache after an hour (gcTime), and the cache is saved when the
  runtime closes on unload.
- Parity: local-mobile area, service map drag scenarios, a local-json dataset.

* fix(web-foldkit): the investigation traces row picks its service at render

The slot was keyed by the overview request only but stored one service's row, so a service
change over the same window kept the old service's figures. It now keeps the window's rows and
picks the busiest row for the current service, as legacy's TracesRow does.

* fix(web-foldkit): alert rule load-more answers only its own checks panel

Load-more results carried no window or filter, so a previous window's page was appended with its
cursor, and a reset allowed a second load-more. Results now carry the panel's generation, and
load-more waits for the current window's first page, as legacy's per-range atom does.

* fix(web-foldkit): a traces next page is accepted only for the request it answers

Next-page results were checked by the filter key only, so filter A, B, then A again took the
first A request's page into the fresh pages and duplicated or skipped one. Results now carry the
pagination generation and offset, like the logs list.

* fix(web-foldkit): a replays next page is accepted only for the request it answers

Page 2 under a new search used the previous first page's cursor while it was still on screen,
and a Reload under the same key (a custom range, two Reloads in one second) appended page 2
twice. Next pages now wait for the current first page and carry the generation and cursor.

* fix(web-foldkit): an agent session's dropped later page no longer restarts the drain

A stale more-page answer was dropped but the drain still ran, so the page in flight was asked for
twice. Later pages now carry their position, and only an accepted page asks for the next one.

* fix(web-foldkit): the error issue lease countdown ticks

The HUD read the window-resolve clock, so it never counted down. A Subscription now reads the
clock at once and every second while a lease is held, as LeaseHud's setInterval does.

* fix(web-foldkit): a single error row's write keeps the hub selection

Every successful write cleared the selection when it landed, so a row picker or row menu write
dropped a multi-row selection. Legacy clears only from the bulk bar, when it is clicked.

* fix(web-foldkit): a shared dashboard's Reload and auto-refresh advance a relative window

Both reused the page-load clock, so the window never moved. They now read the clock in a Command
first, as legacy's window memo re-resolves on every refreshTick.

* fix(web-foldkit): the Google Cloud list's connector clock ticks

Connector states read the window-resolve clock, so a timed state never expired and the 10 s
settling poll could run forever. A 30 s live clock Subscription mirrors legacy's useLiveClock.

* fix(web-foldkit): the time picker's UTC offset is read for the current instant on open

The footer formatted the offset at epoch 0 (Berlin read UTC+1 in summer) and an unknown zone
threw in view. A Mount on the footer reads the clock and the offset each time it opens, and an
unknown zone reads UTC, as legacy's formatUtcOffset does.

* feat(web-foldkit): port the command palette, global shortcuts and the keyboard shortcuts dialog

Mod+K and the sidebar's Search row open the palette: fuse.js ranking (loaded lazily), the
navigation, services (through the read cache), dashboards, integrations and actions groups,
Enter and arrow keys, the empty state. ?, T and / are ported with it, and the menus'
Keyboard shortcuts item opens the dialog.

* test(ui-parity): command palette scenarios (open, search, keys, every group, shortcuts dialog, services faults)

* fix(web-foldkit): cloudflare zone and worker ingest poll advances the clock

The settling poll now reads the clock so a silent connection can turn stalled.

* fix(web-foldkit): anomalies live ticks read the clock; stale load-more answers are dropped

The live refresh carries nowMs so relative times and staleness age. A load-more answer
lands only while its cursor is still the list's continuation.

* fix(web-foldkit): agent sessions next-page answers carry their offset

An answer for an offset the list already filled (a filter left and re-entered) is dropped.

* fix(web-foldkit): email preferences Save waits for a digest toggle in flight

Save sent the pre-toggle enabled flag, so it could re-enable a digest just turned off.

* fix(web-foldkit): rapid severity picks write the last one

Each pick is numbered; an escalation preview for an older pick is dropped instead of
taking the write slot the newest pick needs.

* fix(web-foldkit): services SHA copy toasts the write's outcome

The row navigation waits on the clipboard write, so a failure toasts instead of a
premature success, and the result is not lost with the closed page.

* fix(web-foldkit): replay trace spans that failed are asked again on reopen

Legacy's lane remounts its atom on open; the cached failure was never retried.

* fix(web-foldkit): integration statuses do not keep a failed load

A failed shared load is forgotten, so the next reader asks again instead of reading
the memoized failure until a refresh.

* fix(web-foldkit): integrations re-read a status after a write even while a poll is in flight

Timer polls join a read in flight (Poll); a write's refresh asks again, since the
read in flight may predate the write.

* fix(web-foldkit): GCP removed-connector storage tolerates blocked site data

Reads and writes go through the guarded local-storage helpers instead of raw
window.localStorage, which throws in private mode.

* fix(web-foldkit): widget editor reports a failed time-range save

The failure was dropped silently; it now toasts like a failed widget save.

* fix(web-foldkit): log page ignores stale and repeated log answers

A dropped or duplicate answer re-opened the panels and reset their state.

* fix(web-foldkit): where-clause listbox clears the side it no longer uses

A stale top from the previous placement kept the listbox under the textarea after
it should have flipped above.

* fix(web-foldkit): service map re-resolves its window on a zone change

The window remembers the zone it was resolved in; a new zone re-resolves day-aligned
presets like legacy's memo, a pin change still only rebuilds the graph.

* fix(web-foldkit): logs volume, dashboards header and GCP tables format in the read locale

The browser's language is read in a Command with the clock or window and passed to
toLocaleString; packages/ui formatters take an optional locale (omitted in apps/web).

* fix(web-foldkit): PlanetScale events window is read as local time in the resolve Command

derive no longer parses the warehouse window with the browser zone; ResolveWindow
reads it there, as legacy's Date.parse does.

* fix(web-foldkit): agent session token titles format in the read locale

The clock read also reads the browser language; the waterfall passes it to toLocaleString.

* fix(web-foldkit): infra frame reads the browser locale; the pod peek counter uses it

The shared infra window resolve also reads navigator.language; the peek's
"1 of N" passes it to toLocaleString instead of the implicit default.

* refactor(web-foldkit): replace inline casts with proper typing

Typed returns and state types instead of `as`; the destination update narrows the
payload per union member instead of `as never`.

* fix(foldkit): the local span panel's inert infra slot; scene tests resolve the lifted rail mounts

* feat(web-foldkit): where-clause suggestions for any number of fields, the query panel on them

WhereFields keeps each field's caret, open list and active key values; whereEditor takes an
autocomplete option. The query panel's where editor now runs on the same state machine.

* feat(web-foldkit): where suggestions in the list filter, population filters and funnel step filters

The list filter completes from the provider's values for its source (span and resource values
for the active key), the population filters from the product_events scope and the facets, a
step filter from product_event_attributes. Apply on an engine list saves its query under a
fresh id, as legacy's createQueryDraft(0) does.

* test(ui-parity): widget editor where suggestions in the list, population and step filters

* fix(foldkit): key Detect chats by open and token; split destination payloads without casts

* fix(foldkit): investigation Retry resubscribes the live shape

* fix(foldkit): service map Reload revalidates the environment facets past the read cache

* fix(ui-parity): billing error scenario waits out the GET retries; daily spend failure renders legacy's unexpected body

* docs(foldkit): status as of the last full parity run

* docs(foldkit): correct the parity totals

* feat(foldkit): deploy the Foldkit app to fk-pr-<n>.maple.dev on PR previews

Declares a web-foldkit Worker (Website.Vite, logical id app-foldkit) on pr stages only,
serving through apps/web's worker entry and /_api proxy, and lists it in the preview comment.

* fix(local-ui-foldkit): rebuild trace-detail tabs and panel when a refetch changes the trace

* fix(local-ui-foldkit): no Load more on placeholder rows; a Reload retires the next page in flight

* fix(foldkit): show a widget's own time range in its tile header

Every tile pinned to its own window labels it, on dashboards, previews and shares.

* fix(foldkit): share frame gate, sections, variables and embed appearance

A framed link the server did not mark embeddable renders the not-embeddable card.
Grouped tiles render under read-only sections and tabs, titles read the resolved
variables, and ?theme= and the embed backdrop apply without persisting.

* fix(local-ui-foldkit): stop superseded and abandoned /local/query requests like legacy's abort signal

* fix(local-ui-foldkit): count an error card's traces in the stale-data notice

* fix(foldkit): preview a dashboard version with its own data

The previewed snapshot plans its own tiles, auto-refresh pauses during a preview,
its groups are browsed locally, and view-state changes keep mode=edit as the URL had it.

* fix(local-ui-foldkit): a cached empty list reads signal presence like a fetched one

* fix(foldkit): dashboard dialogs open over a failed write still save

Variables and tags Save still write (a success clears the banner), and the widget
picker closes once writes are unavailable, with a toast on a pick.

* fix(foldkit): sequence dashboard share-list reads, open Embed over a failed list

An older share-list answer landing after a newer one is dropped, and Embed chart
opens over a failed re-read to show the error instead of doing nothing.

* fix(local-ui-foldkit): relative times and session liveness follow the root's clock

* fix(foldkit): infra presence reaches pages, plus final-review infra fixes

- Pages read the shell's infra surfaces through PageContext.infra; the shell and
the infra overview share one cached presence read per window, like legacy's atom.
- /infra probes its own window and reads only present sources once it answers
(all seven until then); a connected provider with no data stays a source row.
- Kubernetes workloads: an empty kind in a reporting cluster shows the
"in this window" state instead of the Helm install advice.
- Service lens rail applies the namespace pin to its service-overview read and key.
- Cloudflare ingest poll re-reads the clock; Railway connect on /infra/railway toasts;
GitHub branch saves are guarded per repository; peek summary retry refreshes the
  summary only.

* fix(foldkit): ui primitives match Base UI on Escape, disabled items, focus tooltips, flips and scroll lock

- combobox: Escape that closes an open list stops before an enclosing dialog
- menu: disabled items stay reachable by arrows but Enter never runs them
- tooltip: focus opens only when :focus-visible (no tip on returned focus)
- popover: reopen from the requested side, not the last flipped one
- scroll lock: nested locks are counted on body, the first saves overflow

* fix(foldkit): agent-sessions final-review findings 4, 16-21

* fix(foldkit): chat final-review findings 22, 23, 24, 28

* fix(foldkit): code-review final-review findings 26, 27

* fix(foldkit): investigations final-review findings 11-15

* fix(foldkit): errors final-review findings 5-9

* fix(foldkit): billing tab waits on the Stripe checkout return and records checkout analytics

* fix(foldkit): the widget editor previews dashboard variables at their defaults

The editor resolves the board's variables with no URL values (query variables load
their options first), so a $service reference never reaches the API. The option
planning moves to kit/variables.ts, shared with the dashboard view.

* fix(foldkit): template previews read variables at their defaults

Each variable starts on its default, else All, as legacy previewVariableValues does;
the preview plan uses a typed accumulator instead of inline casts.

* fix(foldkit): show the wrong-region screen for an org another region serves

* fix(foldkit): final-review fixes for traces, logs, services, service-map, replays and releases

Traces: list filters ride on the detail URL and crumb, peek step/close replace,
mobile taps open the trace and the span opens in a bottom sheet, page Escape
closes the span, zone change re-resolves, peek falls back to the trace's row.
Logs: live tail skips hidden tabs and pauses while the sheet is open, detail
tabs apply the namespace pin, volume chart drag-to-zoom and tooltip.
Services: single push on row link click, window re-resolves against now,
search-only changes keep the window, preload applies the pin, tabs replace.
Service map: environment stays ready while refreshing, facets window once per
instance, live pan/zoom limits, drag listeners released on unmount.
Replays: fullscreen checks the figure, range histogram keyed on bounds,
list-end sentinel re-observes, repeated cursor stops paging, range cache cap.
Releases and investigation detail apply the namespace pin.

* fix(foldkit): hold navigation away from unsaved widget edits

A page can declare isBlockingNavigation/blockedNavigation (useBlocker); the root
holds a link or Back that would leave it and hands the page the target. The widget
editor opens its unsaved-changes dialog, and Discard goes where the user was going.

* fix(foldkit): alerts and anomalies review lows and the link dialog by keyboard

- anomaly Link issue: typed queries keep their items and Enter links
- incident: a changed row re-reads the minute clock (clockAtSync)
- rule tab links keep the time range
- chat destinations named by their connector in routing and the dialog
- alert_rule_created product event after a create

* fix(foldkit): the widget editor's Custom time range gets its own picker

Under Custom the rail shows the time-range picker; a picked preset becomes the
widget's own relative window instead of a frozen copy of the board's.

* fix(foldkit): ask a new org for its data region first in /quick-start

* fix(foldkit): the template detail panel is a sheet below lg

PageViewInputs gains isBelowLg (the shell's rail breakpoint). Below lg the selected
template's panel opens in a right sheet over the list, and dismissing it clears the
selection, as legacy's panelIsSheet does.

* fix(foldkit): alert editor sync failure, widget lookup and validation details

- an edit whose alert_rules sync gave up shows Failed to load alert rules
- a widget link without its chart snapshot looks the widget up in its dashboard
- the action bar's details tooltip lists every missing field

* fix(foldkit): open Clerk's re-verification challenge for account writes, then retry

* fix(foldkit): add the OpenRouter add-on from Settings > AI

* fix(foldkit): audit log lists members in the Person filter and keeps a rolling window across pages

* fix(foldkit): dashboards list survives a dead sync stream and reports its writes

A live list that never answers in 30 s reads the HTTP snapshot (read-only, under the
degraded banner) and reconnects the org collections; with neither, the list shows
Couldn't load dashboards with a retry. Read-only row menus disable their writes and
say why, a failed create toasts, a delete that fell behind says so, and a Perses
import with warnings follows its success toast with them.

* feat(foldkit): time range picker custom range, D hotkey and maximum range

Port CustomRangePicker (two-month range calendar, zone wall-clock times,
applyTimeRangeSearch clearing the preset), useAppHotkey("time.open") for the
page-level picker, and maxRangeSeconds with legacy's error toast (one year on
long-range pages, two weeks plus an hour on the Code Review CI tab).

* fix(foldkit): a failed members Load more stops spinning and can be retried

* fix(foldkit): drop a failed session read so the next reader asks again

* fix(foldkit): retry a failed widget-editor metric list or key lookup

A failed read is forgotten, so the next edit asks again instead of leaving the
metric picker or its breakdown choices empty until the page reloads.

* feat(foldkit): chat destinations: channel picker and workspace connect popup

- a chat destination picks its channel from the workspace's list
- unlinked chat connectors get a Connect tile in the destination dialog
- the rule editor's Connect item links a workspace and opens its form

* fix(foldkit): a dashboard's Undo toast restores after leaving the board

Widget and group removal toasts carry a root action with the org, dashboard and
removed widgets, so Undo restores them even when the user navigated away within
the toast's 6 s. The page-level Undo messages and RestoreWidget are gone.

* test(parity): checkout return, wrong-region, AI add-on and Clerk audit Person scenarios

* refactor(foldkit): reverification fails with ClerkActionError, no unknown returns

* style(foldkit): wrap and dedent billing and audit-log commands

* feat(foldkit): port the top bar Connect panel (endpoint, keys, live status, MCP)

* fix(foldkit): a list wider than the cap offers Show last 7 days

On a board whose window exceeds the list cap, a list tile's Range too wide state
carries the narrowing CTA; a click re-plans that tile alone over the capped window,
not persisted, as legacy's narrowedToCap does.

* chore(foldkit): drop stale toolbar TODOs; every More action is wired

* feat(foldkit): email and Hazel destination fields

- Email: workspace members from Clerk as named chips, the recipients cap
- Hazel: OAuth connect in a popup, disconnect with confirm, organization and channel selects

* test(foldkit): the dashboard Undo names its own board, so it never lands on another

* test(ui-parity): chat, Hazel and keyboard link-issue destination writes

- fixtures for a Slack workspace's channels and Hazel organizations and channels

* fix(foldkit): shell reads are org-scoped, the namespace list searches and re-reads, org creation picks a region

Integration statuses and the open-org read cache key by org, so an in-place org change never
shows the previous org's answers. The shell resets namespaces and integrations on a new org and
drops answers stamped for another. The namespace list re-reads each opening and gains the search
row from eight namespaces. Create Organization offers the data region and lands on its app.

* fix(foldkit): page instances, retained data, post-write re-reads and root navigation match legacy

- Page slots and Messages carry a per-build instance number; A -> B -> A drops the first visit's answers,
and the view boundary is the instance identity.
- Keyed: a new key's failure is a plain Failure, not the previous key's rows; supersede restarts a
post-write re-read past a read in flight (errors issue and hub use it).
- Preload releases superseded keys; signing out releases the last page's keys.
- No page is built behind the plan splash or redirect; the session window joins navigations as
they are built, never Back/Forward; closed toasts drop their actions.
- page/kit/route-window: the routeChanged window pattern.

* test(ui-parity): settle the returned focus ring before the keyboard link capture

* fix(foldkit): the wrong-region screen boots no shell reads; scenarios on a loader-free route

* feat(foldkit): time range picker timezone select stores the zone preference app-wide

- The footer reads the stored preference on open, so every picker shows the app's zone.
- Its searchable list: System and UTC pinned, zones west to east, clocks frozen per open,
matched by zone, offset or the time there now.
- A pick writes maple.preferences.timezone; the root re-reads it on this tab's pick or another
tab's storage event and re-resolves the open page under the new zone.

* feat(web-foldkit): move ingest keys to the Ingestion page

Port of #1543. The Keys table lists API and MCP keys only; Ingestion's
Endpoint & keys section shows the public and private ingest keys with
reveal, copy and regenerate. Parity scenarios move the ingest-key flows
from Keys to Ingestion.

* fix(web-foldkit): sort time picker quick select by duration

Port of #1554.

* test(parity): drop the checkout-return scenario, legacy's checklist re-read races the marker strip

* fix(foldkit): the anomaly link dialog leaves focus on the body when it closes, as legacy's trigger-less dialog does

* fix(foldkit): a palette ranking of the list before its services landed never replaces the newer one

* feat(web-foldkit): connect Google Cloud by script, console steps, or Terraform/Alchemy

Port of #1533: a Method step between Data and Set up, console steps,
Terraform and Alchemy files with a coding-agent prompt, a removal list
with confirm_removal, and the method-neutral copy. Parity fixtures return
the new setup_scripts fields and scenarios cover each method.

* feat(web-foldkit): offer every chat connector to every org

Ports #1565: the integrations hub, the ?integration= card and the palette
no longer pass through a per-org visibility gate, so Discord shows for all.
A palette parity scenario picks Connect Discord.

* test(ui-parity): the keyboard link scenario no longer clicks away the returned focus ring

The dialog now leaves focus on the body when it closes, as legacy's trigger-less dialog does.

* fix(foldkit): metrics pages re-resolve the window only when its fields change

A filter, type or view change reads its new keys under the kept window in Load, even after
a Reload; only a moved window re-resolves, through page/kit/route-window.

* fix(foldkit): releases pages re-resolve the window only when its fields change

A filter or service pick reads under the kept window in Load, even after a Reload.

* fix(foldkit): traces list re-resolves the window only when its fields change

A filter reads its first page under the kept window in Load, even after a Reload.

* fix(foldkit): logs list re-resolves the window only when its fields change

A filter reads its new keys under the kept window in Load, even after a Reload.

* fix(foldkit): replays list re-resolves the window only when its fields change

A filter reads its first page and facets under the kept window in Load, even after a Reload.

* refactor(foldkit): service map routes its window step through page/kit/route-window

Its own window compare goes; a test pins that a non-window change keeps the window after a Reload.

* refactor(foldkit): analytics routes its window step through page/kit/route-window

A test pins that a filter reads under the kept window after a Reload.

* refactor(foldkit): alert rule routes its window step through page/kit/route-window

A test pins that a tab change keeps the window after a Reload and a new preset re-resolves unsnapped.

* refactor(foldkit): error issue routes its window step through page/kit/route-window

A test pins the same after a Reload.

* fix(foldkit): infra pages re-resolve the window only when its fields change

page/infra/kit/frame-step routeFrame wraps route-window for the frame. Detail pages and the
overview no longer re-resolve on a namespace or filter change; the list pages drop their own
window compares.

* fix(foldkit): code review tabs re-resolve the window only when its fields change

frameRouteChanged takes the previous search; a repo, author or filter change reads under the
kept window, so after a Reload it no longer moves the window and refetches.

* fix(foldkit): cloudflare pages re-resolve the window only when its fields change

The worker detail reads an account change under the kept window; the list and zone use route-window.

* fix(foldkit): railway pages re-resolve the window only when its fields change

The service detail reads an environment change under the kept window, even after a Reload.

* fix(foldkit): planetscale pages re-resolve the window only when its fields change

The database detail reads a branch change under the kept window, even after a Reload.

* fix(foldkit): google cloud pages re-resolve the window only when its fields change

The list and workload read a tab or scope change under the kept window, even after a Reload.

* feat(effect-sdk): add a Foldkit adapter at @maple-dev/effect-sdk/foldkit

Wraps a Runtime.makeApplication config: Command spans grouped under the
navigation that caused them, UI-only Commands dropped, Command args
scrubbed to ids by default, crash reports and slow update/view/patch spans.

* docs(effect-sdk): document the Foldkit entry point and add its changeset

* feat(web-foldkit): send the app's own telemetry through the Foldkit SDK

Same service, ingest, anticipated errors, replay and privacy switches as
apps/web's otel-layer, with maple.web.app=foldkit on the resource. Command
spans group under page loads and navigations named by route, and Command
args export only ids.

* fix(web-foldkit): gate the integrations settings rail by the session and add-on, like /settings

* feat(web-foldkit): overview setup checklist card in Clerk mode

* fix(web-foldkit): rank palette results in the input's own render

The palette ranked each query through a lazy fuse Command, so after a
keystroke the list showed browse rows (then an empty list) for a frame or
more before the results; a click landed on whatever row was there. Rank
with fuse in render, as cmdk does, and key the command list's groups and
items so a re-ranked row keeps its node.

* fix(web-foldkit): no checklist re-read on navigations into /chat

Legacy re-reads the onboarding checklist on onResolved from the top bar's
pill, which /chat does not mount, so a navigation onto /chat (and its own
?tab= replace) sends no GET /v2/onboarding/checklist. The shell re-read it
on every route change; it now does so only where the top bar renders.

* fix(web-foldkit): keep the Slack tile's wait text through the popup's close grace

* fix(web-foldkit): dialogs close on Escape with focus outside them, like Base UI

* fix(web-foldkit): theme Clerk surfaces with legacy's appearance and localization

clerk.load now gets clerkAppearance and clerkLocalization, as ClerkProvider passes them,
and the SignIn/SignUp mounts get clerkAuthCardAppearance. The reverification modal
inherits the provider theme, as useReverification does in apps/web.

* feat(web-foldkit): Clerk profile photos and org logos in the avatars

* fix(web-foldkit): type the stray-Escape root as an EventTarget

* feat(web-foldkit): send legacy's product events and identify the session

Every trackProduct call legacy makes is a Command at the same moment:
integration_connected, chat_message_sent, api_key_created, dashboard_created,
onboarding_step_completed, onboarding_reward_claimed, support_channel_invite_sent
and plan_checkout_returned from onboarding, beside the events already ported.
The Clerk identity goes to identify() like ClerkAuthBridge, so the events join
the user and org.

* feat(web-foldkit): say when a chat connector answers only linked users

Ports #1569's card copy: connectors that support identity answer only people who
linked their account, as their own Maple user.

* feat(web-foldkit): Sources pages, connect flow and source detail

Ports #1538: /sources, /sources/new and /sources/$sourceId with the shared list read,
rules editor, setup snippets, pause/roll/delete and the settings form. The sidebar
footer and palette point at Sources, and Ingestion links to it. Adds the sources
fixtures and parity scenarios.

* fix(web-foldkit): a started chat install re-reads the connectors, as its reactivity keys do

* fix(web-foldkit): avatar images carry the name and hide the initials from assistive tech

* test(ui-parity): overview Clerk setup scenarios drive the first-trace card the dataset shows

* fix(ci): declare foldkit workspace deps, drop dead exports, tag fixture errors

- web-foldkit depends on @maple/chat-platform; local-ui-foldkit declares the workspaces
it imports so a filtered CI install resolves them.
- knip: unused exports and re-exports removed, the worker entry and local-ui-foldkit's
  shared runtime packages configured.
- effect-lint: tagged fixture errors, orElseSucceed in the parity proxy, named sample
  dictionaries.

* fix(ci): lint the Foldkit apps in their own oxlint passes

One type-aware pass over the whole repo peaked near 16 GB and the effect-lint
runner killed it with SIGTERM. Three sequential passes peak at about 13.5 GB.

* fix(web-foldkit): no checklist re-read when a retired settings tab redirects

Legacy answers ?tab=organization and ?tab=notifications with <Navigate replace>
and no DashboardLayout, so the top bar's pill is not mounted and the redirect's
onResolved sends no GET /v2/onboarding/checklist. The shell skips the re-read
when the route it leaves is such a redirect.

* feat(web-foldkit): the rule window hint says how often a rule is checked

Ports #1585's alert UI: the Window hint names the check cadence from
alertEvaluationIntervalMinutes, a number field keeps its hint under the Was
note while editing, and the would-fire caption mentions the sliding window.

* fix(ci): raise the web startup budget to 716 KB after merging #1585

* fix(ui-parity): drain a failed chDB query's partial output before the next query

* fix(ui-parity): bind the fixture API and Electric servers to loopback

* fix(ui-parity): serve a malformed percent escape as a client route

* fix(web-foldkit): a throwing unsubscribe still cleans the live query collection up

* fix(web-foldkit): an in-place org change drops the previous org's pinned dashboards

* fix(web-foldkit): give each severity radio its own hidden input id

* test(web-foldkit): cover default-first source ordering with two rows
