Typical render flow

tempify list
tempify basic_cpp my-app \
  --set project_name="My App" \
  --set name_slug=my-app \
  --set namespace=app_ns \
  --set include_ci=false \
  --set author=Me

Result: folder my-app/ with rendered files and .tempify-lock.json for later reapply.

Learning path for authors

  1. Your First Template - minimal version in ~10 minutes
  2. questions.lua Reference - questions, validation, defaults
  3. Files & Prebyte - .pbt vs .pbc
  4. layout.lua - rename, exclude, render overrides
  5. Includes & Layering - stack templates
  6. Hooks (Authors) - scripts in Lua phases
  7. Template Quality - validate, lint, test
