Summary

  • First named-emotion calibration set in the repo: data/qualia/calibrated_219.json — the 219 patches from Upstash ada:qualia:calibrated:* that thinking-engine/src/qualia.rs cites and did not carry. Plus .bin1024 (sign-binarized Jina embeddings, 28 KB) for the Haspelmath-adjacency proposal side.
  • New zero-dep module lance_graph_contract::qualia_profile + generated qualia_profile_table: an ICC-style profile for felt states. Three spaces kept apart — device (qualia::AXIS_LABELS, convergence observables), PCS (PCS_AXES, 17 phenomenological axes, patches as [i8; 17] in hundredths), observer (Ekman-6 and friends). One-byte palette 0 | 1..=219 | 220..=255 reserved. nearest_named = B2A on the PCS side; its residual is the K channel — the classification_distance D-CSV-5b stopped storing, measured against the inner vocabulary instead of six outside archetypes. Gamut (256-bit mask per mode/persona/voice) with three intents adapted to a discrete palette; Mix = up to three inks (what ada:qualia:active carries).
  • Only the five same-named axes (valence, arousal, tension, warmth, clarity) get a device→PCS mapping, returned with a measured mask. The CLUT for the other twelve is a chart probe, filed as ISS-QUALIA-A2B-CLUT-UNMEASURED; the HYPOTHESIS that same-named axes mean the same thing is stated as such.
  • Generator scripts/gen_qualia_profile.py is deterministic and rustfmt-stable; PROFILE_ID (sha256 of the JSON) and TABLE_FNV pin the table. Board: LATEST_STATE.md inventory delta + ISSUES.md open row.

Not decided here: how 219 named patches share the one-byte Σ-codebook slot with the 64 sigma_rosetta glyphs. The module defines the numbering only.

Test plan

  • cargo test -p lance-graph-contract --lib — 1495/1495 (11 new, each with a stated falsifier: FNV mutation verified red; relative-vs-perceptual inertness found both a differing and an agreeing input; anti-vacuity on Gamut::from_families and on nearest_named over all 219)
  • cargo clippy -p lance-graph-contract --lib --tests -- -D warnings clean; cargo fmt --check clean
  • python3 scripts/gen_qualia_profile.py twice → byte-identical table
  • CI on the full workspace (contract crate was built standalone here; the sibling ../ndarray checkout is not in this environment)

…Upstash calibrations

The workspace carried two 17-axis "qualia" vectors on different axes and no
named calibration set; classification_distance compared device telemetry to
six Ekman archetypes and, since the i4 cutover, stored a constant 1.0. This
lands the 219 calibrated patches (ada:qualia:calibrated:*) as the profile
connection space, a one-byte palette (0 | 1..=219 | 220..=255 reserved), the
K residual as B2A on the PCS side, a 256-bit Gamut with three rendering
intents, a three-ink Mix, and the five same-named device↔PCS axes marked as
the only measured ones. The A2B CLUT for the other twelve is an open probe
(ISS-QUALIA-A2B-CLUT-UNMEASURED), not a constant.

Generator is deterministic and rustfmt-stable; TABLE_FNV mutation verified red.
11 tests, 1495/1495 contract lib tests green, clippy -D warnings clean.

The single TABLE_FNV check re-computed a fingerprint from the generated
table against a constant in the same generated file, so a JSON edit without
regeneration stayed invisible. The generator now also emits SOURCE_FNV over
the raw JSON bytes; the test reads the file with include_str! and re-computes
it, and checks the declared count against NAMED_COUNT. Mutation-verified:
edit the JSON without regenerating → red; hand-edit the table → red.

#1576

Maps #1560-#1576 onto the 2026-10-15 ledger correction: nine closed ends
(O22 verdict, R1 grid, 59..60 one field, one operand dictionary per epoch,
mapping inventory, stamp as evidence lane, version clock, rejected hydrate
guard, board catch-up), merged items (O25+K2, N1+decision 2 = D-HL-5 H4,
ablation+N15+D-ASM, DOC-WIRE) and new ones (O29, O30, BAND-RETIRE,
N16-N21). Adds the six missing PR arc entries and a LATEST_STATE catch-up.
