Most of my side projects start with a very specific annoyance:
- a prediction game I was losing;
- a recurring coffee chat that kept matching the same people;
- ranked matches made worse by bad bans;
- a ferry I did not want to miss.
So I built tools for them.
I like software that is small enough to understand, useful enough to keep using, and honest about what it cannot know.
real problem → simple model → test it → use it → improve what is wrong
I mostly work with Python, Node.js, C++, Raspberry Pi and whatever else is appropriate for the problem. I care about clear documentation, reproducible results and graceful handling of imperfect data.
Current recurring rabbit holes: industrial automation, energy systems, football models, practical tools and making small physical things a little smarter.
