Save the moment. Keep the context.

Setsu Recorder saves the last few moments with a hotkey. Set your replay length, capture quality, audio sources, and shortcuts, then rename a new clip straight from the save notification.

Already have a recording setup? Point Setsu at your clip folder. You can also import clips from SteelSeries Moments in the settings.

Easy to use Trimming

Drag the trim handles, preview the cut, and export. Trims are saved separately, so you can come back later and restore the full clip.

Your original recording stays intact.

Find it again

Hover to preview, give a clip a name, and add your own tags. Browse by time, filter new or trimmed clips, or search by name, #tag, and @user.

Get the audio right

Turn the game down, bring your microphone up, or quiet voice chat. Adjust recorded audio tracks individually and export with your mix.

Available for clips recorded with separate audio tracks. (hint hint our own app does it best)

Remember who was there

Connect Discord and Setsu Recorder can attach voice-channel participants when you save a clip. Their avatars stay with the clip, and @user search helps you find moments together.

Discord integration is part of Setsu Recorder, other software will not have the Discord integration.

Export it. Share it wherever you like.

Copy a trimmed clip to the clipboard for quick sharing, or export a video or audio file. Export presets let you choose the balance between quality, resolution, frame rate, and file size.

No Setsu account is needed to export and share your files yourself.

Make it feel like your setup

Tune the player, previews, ambient glow, interface font, keyboard shortcuts, export presets, and recording settings. Setsu remembers per-clip settings such as volume and playback speed.

A few more useful details
  • Reversible trims: trim metadata is kept separately from the source recording. Deleting a clip still deletes the file.
  • A cleaner library: collections for new, untagged, and trimmed clips, plus time-based groups.
  • Your existing clips: use a local folder or the SteelSeries Moments importer.
  • Help when something breaks: the diagnostics zip in Settings > About bundles what a bug report needs.

Get started

  1. Download the latest Windows release (Setsu Setup X.Y.Z.exe) and install Setsu.
  2. Choose your clip folder.
  3. Set up Setsu Recorder's replay length, audio, and hotkeys. Or keep using your existing recorder.
  4. Optionally connect Discord to capture who was in the call.

Setsu Recorder currently requires Windows and an NVIDIA GPU. You can use Setsu with recordings from another recorder if your machine cannot run Setsu Recorder.

Setsu used to be called ClipLib, and the recorder used to be ClipDip. Updating from ClipLib keeps your library and settings, they still live in %APPDATA%\Clips.
