Aspiring DevOps Engineer | Junior Cloud Engineer
I'm building my career in DevOps and cloud engineering through hands-on labs covering Linux administration, Bash automation, AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes. I focus on understanding how services are deployed, how infrastructure behaves when something fails, and how to document the evidence clearly.
This profile is a portfolio of completed training projects. Each linked repository explains the implementation, includes relevant configuration or code, and distinguishes validated results from lab limitations.
| Area | Hands-on tools and concepts |
|---|---|
| Linux and automation | Ubuntu, Rocky Linux, Bash, SSH, Apache, systemd, user permissions |
| Cloud | AWS EC2, VPC networking, subnets, Network Load Balancer, CloudWatch |
| Containers | Docker, Dockerfiles, Docker Compose, container networking, persistent volumes |
| Kubernetes | kind, Minikube, Deployments, Services, Ingress, StatefulSets, storage, health probes, RBAC, Jobs and CronJobs |
| Development workflow | Git, GitHub, command-line troubleshooting, configuration and validation documentation |
| Project | What I built and validated |
|---|---|
| Kubernetes TaskHub | A local multi-node kind lab with frontend and backend workloads, PostgreSQL, NFS storage, ingress, RBAC and workload troubleshooting; includes terminal evidence. |
| AWS High Availability Web Application Lab | A multi-Availability Zone AWS lab using EC2 application servers, VPC networking, Network Load Balancer, private PostgreSQL instances, User Data and CloudWatch validation. |
| Docker Microservices Online Store | A Docker Compose integration of an online-store application with multiple services, image builds, health checks and MongoDB persistence; includes source attribution and verification notes. |
| Bash Remote Server Health Monitoring | A Bash script that checks Linux hosts over SSH, handles input validation and documents monitoring output. |
| Kubernetes Practical Task | A Minikube exercise with three NGINX replicas, HTTP probes, PV/PVC storage, rollout history and deliberate failure/recovery tests. |
| Apache Name-Based Virtual Hosting | Two Apache virtual hosts on Linux with separate document roots, local name resolution and curl-based validation. |
Another Bash project: System Maintenance Assistant — service control, privilege checks and log backup tasks.
- Original scripts, manifests and configuration files from my completed labs.
- Implementation notes, terminal screenshots and test results where available.
- Honest discussion of limitations and troubleshooting, including what was not independently verified.
These are documented learning environments, not claims of production deployments. I'm continuing to improve repeatable validation, deployment automation and infrastructure skills as I prepare for a junior DevOps or cloud engineering role.
