Major · Functional Correctness · Quick win
Keep changelog access after dismissing the card.
When a user clicks “Dismiss changelog card,” this return removes the only dialog trigger. The user cannot open release details or the archive again while the sidebar remains mounted. Hide the promotional card, but retain a sidebar entry that opens the changelog. The PR objective calls for sidebar access to the changelog.

Changelog hides account controls
On short mobile screens, such as a 667×375 landscape phone, the new non-shrinking card pushes AccountMenu below the viewport and collapses the thread list. Only the thread list can scroll; the card and account row sit outside it. Users must dismiss the card before they can reach settings or sign out. Hide or shorten the card on short screens, or let it scroll while keeping account controls visible.

Dismissed card keeps returning
dismissed lives inside NovaChangelog, but closing the sidebar removes that component. After dismissing the card, closing and reopening the desktop sidebar or mobile drawer immediately brings it back. Keep dismissal outside this short-lived component, preferably saved per user and release, so users do not have to hide the same announcement repeatedly.
