Vega is a neutral, general-purpose media player and casting app. Vega provides:
- A media player for local and network playback
- Casting to supported devices (e.g., Chromecast/DLNA)
- An environment that runs user-generated scripts, which users install and manage themselves
Vega and the vega-org organization do not host, store, upload, distribute, index or link to any media content. Vega does not make any content available on its own. Everything played in Vega comes from sources that the user picks and adds.
Vega supports scripts and providers made by the community. Please note:
- Third-party providers, plugins, scripts and repositories made for Vega are not created, owned, endorsed, maintained or affiliated with the Vega project or vega-org.
- Vega has no control over, and takes no responsibility for, any third-party provider or the content it may reach.
- Any user using a third-party provider won't get any kind of support from vega-org

Vega respects intellectual property rights. Vega does not host any content, so DMCA notices about specific media should be sent to the website or service that actually hosts that content, or to the maintainer of the relevant third-party provider.
