WARDOGS is a 100-player, three-faction tactical shooter built on Unreal Engine 5 by BULKHEAD and published by Team17. It entered Steam Early Access on 10 September 2026 (Steam App ID 1867240). The main mode, King of the Hill, descends from Sa-Matra's Arma 3 mod of the same name, and the original mod authors have worked with BULKHEAD since the start of the project.

There is no dedicated WARDOGS YouTube channel. Trailers and developer videos are published on the BULKHEAD channel listed below. The subreddits r/WarDogs and r/OfficialWARDOGS exist but are community run and not confirmed as developer or publisher channels.

- wardogs-calc - Open source calculator on an interactive 16 by 16 km map, giving azimuth, elevation in mils, and flight time. MIT licensed, with a live demo and documentation in nine languages.
- MortarHUD - Windows overlay that reads the map coordinates already on screen using OCR and shows bearing and range to a target. Apache 2.0. It does not read or write game memory and sends no input to the game.

- Warcon - Self hosted RCON panel for dedicated servers. Each admin signs in with their own account and role, the RCON password stays encrypted on the server, and every command is written to an audit trail. MIT licensed, source on GitHub.
- wardogs-community-server-tool-list - Index of five open source server tools: an RCON gateway that issues per admin API keys, a Python admin client, a Discord status bot, a welcome and announcement bot, and a player name moderation service.
- wardogs-profit-tracker - Windows tool that plots cash and earnings per minute during a match. It reads the profit and loss value the game publishes through Steam Rich Presence rather than reading the screen or game memory.

Community server hosting is whitelist only. BULKHEAD announced on 7 September 2026 that dedicated servers are available through two approved partners, QONZER and BisectHosting, with 60, 80, and 100 player options. The server code is private, so no other host can sell WARDOGS servers. BisectHosting notes that a 100-player server puts three to four times the CPU and network load of a standard 32-player FPS server.

Most community servers are run by a group that also has a Discord, and some have a site of their own. The regional server list under Servers and hosting is the broadest index. The entries below are groups that publish their own rules, schedules, and membership terms.
- WARDOGS Nordic - Nordic community covering Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, the Faroe Islands, Greenland, and Aland. Runs two Nordic hosted servers plus weekly operations and squad nights. English is used in game.
- SPH - Spanish language milsim community founded in 2001, with a 100 player WARDOGS server alongside its Squad, Arma 3, and Arma Reforger servers. Membership and its training academy are free.
- WARDOGS Ukraine - Ukrainian community with a Ukrainian language wiki, server monitoring, player profiles, and leaderboards.
- Command Squad - North American community running two servers since the Early Access launch, with published rules and admin coverage. Also runs Squad servers.
- Strix - Tactical shooter community with servers in North America and Europe.
- 3rd Gaming - Adults only PC clan and Discord that has WARDOGS as its current game.
- Ares Group PMC - Casual but organized PMC with a custom info-relay bot.
- WARDOGS RUSSIA (WDRU) - Russian-language community.
- EU Headquarter WARDOGS hub - Milsim unit directory. The WARDOGS page lists units, events, and a sample order of battle for the three factions.
- DISBOARD wardogs tag - Directory of Discord servers tagged with the game.
- MetaForge LFG - Browse squads by region, role, playstyle, and schedule.
- LFG Hub - Pools posts from several Discord servers into one list, where each entry is a voice channel that already has people in it. No account.
- Teamplay.gg - Free team finder with filters for rank, role, language, and platform, plus voice chat and an Android app. Needs an account.

- SteamDB - Player counts, depots, and price and update history. The closed beta ran as a separate app, 4809930, and peaked at 105,774 concurrent players on 23 August 2026.
- ProtonDB - Linux and Proton reports. There is no official Linux support at launch.
- Metacritic - Score page. No critic reviews at the time of writing. Not to be confused with "WarDogs: Red's Return".
- Tracker.gg population - Live player counts.

- Wardogs Dev Hub - Unofficial reference for people building tools, covering the game backend API, an interactive API console, an OpenAPI specification, and a commented config template. Each page records the game version it was last checked against.
- Wardogs server reference - Unofficial documentation of the RCON HTTP API and the ServerSettings.ini keys the dedicated server reads at startup. The RCON listener runs over HTTP on port 7776 by default.
