Systems engineer building secure infrastructure and real-time products

I work from first principles: understand the constraints, design the smallest sound system, then make it work in the real world. My focus is low-level infrastructure, security, and products that turn complex capabilities into useful tools.
- Systems: kernels, runtimes, networking, and performance-sensitive infrastructure
- Security: TLS, cryptography, trust boundaries, and secure boot
- Products: AI-enabled, real-time systems and tools built to solve concrete problems
- Execution: end-to-end ownership, from architecture and implementation to testing and delivery
My recent work spans foundational systems and usable products:
- Microkernel engineering: contributing across capability-based interfaces, process isolation, networking, TLS 1.3, cryptography, secure boot, and Linux compatibility.
- Real-time video intelligence: building camera-to-event workflows with object detection, MQTT, and Rust tooling.
- Shipping the whole system: connecting low-level engineering to clear setup, usable interfaces, and dependable operation.
I’m most effective where deep technical work and decisive execution meet: make the hard parts reliable, then ship something people can use.
- Reduce ambitious problems to clear engineering constraints and tractable plans
- Move from low-level details to product-level tradeoffs without losing the thread
- Build for trust, maintainability, and real-world operation
- Take ownership, remove bottlenecks, and drive work through to delivery
Languages: Rust, Go, C/C++, TypeScript, JavaScript
Systems: Linux, networking, secure systems, performance optimization, embedded/low-level development
Backend & Platform: APIs, distributed services, PostgreSQL, developer infrastructure
AI & Product: automation, intelligent pipelines, local-first apps, real-time systems
Tooling: Docker, CI/CD, GitHub Actions, QEMU, modern dev workflows
I care about leverage: strong fundamentals, simple designs, and focused execution. The goal is not complexity for its own sake; it is infrastructure and products that make hard things dependable.
If you're building in systems, infrastructure, security, or applied AI, I’m open to connecting.
