The AI runs on the person's own Anthropic key unless their role pays for it (an admin). Needs ai-server 0.25.0 (scm-js/ai-server, branch own-key) with AI_SERVER_BYOK=1.

  • Preferences ▸ scmjs.dev ▸ Your Anthropic key, there while the server takes keys: paste, Check and use (the server's free /v1/key/check), kept only when it passes; Forget the key takes it and the AI away again.
  • The key goes with recipe calls only, never in the scmjs-dev.account service's headers(), so other plugins (Aftermath's casts) cannot use it. No trial is started on a key.
  • Account window: the AI features row says they run on your own key and links to the field; the Replay casts row is hidden from someone on their own key.
  • A key Anthropic turns down mid-use says so instead of "the session has ended".

Checked in the editor against a local server: a wrong key refused and not stored, the right one turns on Tools ▸ AI, Name and Describe ran with the key on the request.

Tests: 249 pass (new: key check good/bad, recipe on the key with no trial, headers() without it, a server that stops taking keys turns it off). Korean added for the new strings.

Preferences ▸ scmjs.dev has a "Your Anthropic key" field while the server
takes own keys. A pasted key is checked with the server's /v1/key/check
(free) and kept only when it passes; from then on it goes with recipe
calls, no trial is started, and the AI features are on whatever the
account's role offers. Forget the key takes them away again.

The key is sent with recipes only, never in the service's headers(), so
other plugins (Aftermath's casts) cannot use it. The Account window's
Status table says the AI runs on your own key and links to the field,
and hides the Replay casts row from someone on their own key.
