Thanks @Patidou. What indicates that 264-dpi is correct? Could this relate to #1? What's the
window.devicePixelRatioon that page?Patidou commentedon Apr 22, 2014
I found the value here : https://www.apple.com/ipad-air/specs/ and here : http://mydevice.io/devices/
I don't use zoom.
window.devicePixelRatiovalue is 2.raphaelgoetter commentedon Apr 22, 2014
Confirmed : iPad Air has a 264dpi/ppi resolution :

@Patidou res detects CSS resolution. 1dppx equals 96dpi.
devicePixelRatioequals dppx. 192dpi is correct per those relations. For Apple's advertised quantities to make sense, 264 must be physical ppi.@raphaelgoetter Using ppi as that header on mydevice.io/devices might reduce confusion. looks like division.

I have learned things. ;-)
Thanks for the explanations and sorry for the noises. :)

No problem @Patidou =) Retina hype adds confusion. I prefer to design by dimensions and not worry about dpi. Images look great on iPads regardless.

@Patidou : have you tried http://dpi.lv/ with your iPad Air ? What's the result ?
@ryanve : thank you, I added a new column : "CSS ppi" in the tables : http://mydevice.io/devices/

@raphaelgoetter by default, it's 192 dpi on… 13,3'' screen size. ;-) Wih the correct screen size it's 264 dpi. :)
