General Instructions

Generate symlinks with stow:

❯ stow bat fastfetch fish ghostty git nvim share

Add environment variables to ~/.config/fish/conf.d/env.fish.

Installed brew packages are occasionally exported to brew-packages.txt with brew leaves. Install them with xargs:

❯ xargs brew install < brew-packages.txt

Explicitly installed standard packages, AUR packages, and Flatpaks are occasionally exported to cachyos-packages.toml with:

❯ shelly backup --export --directory . --name cachyos-packages

Restore them with:

❯ shelly backup --import --directory . --name cachyos-packages

This could be automatically updated on a schedule, but for now:

❯ dconf dump /org/gnome/shell/extensions/ > gnome-shell-extension-settings.dconf

To restore:

❯ dconf load /org/gnome/shell/extensions/ < gnome-shell-extension-settings.dconf
