Fixes #317.
The template reader now checks the next chunk against the remaining size allowance and stops as soon as the limit would be reached.
Validation:
tests/test_template_limit.pykeeps a FIFO writer open after sending 65536 bytes. The base continues waiting for input; this Linux/GCC 13.3 build reports the size error and exits.
