- Unify with argocd-operator one
- Move to parallel
- Drop the unjustified `openshift` label - this is k8s functionality

Summary
Summary by CodeRabbit
Tests
CA trust end-to-end checks now run in the parallel suite with isolated setup. Tests use randomized ClusterTrustBundle names and register resource cleanup and failure diagnostics with the test framework.
The checks are no longer part of the sequential suite. Shared cleanup and stale-resource cleanup steps have been removed.
The CA-trust E2E tests moved from the sequential suite to the parallel suite. The parallel tests use local namespaces, deferred cleanup, and randomized ClusterTrustBundle names.
Changes: CA Trust E2E Suite
Layer / File(s)
Summary
Move CA-trust tests to parallel setup argocd-operator/tests/ginkgo/sequential/1-120_repo_server_system_ca_trust.go, test/openshift/e2e/ginkgo/parallel/1-120_repo_server_system_ca_trust.go
The sequential test file was removed. The parallel suite uses parallel clean-slate setup. Tests create local namespaces and register namespace cleanup and failure diagnostics.
Isolate ClusterTrustBundle test resources test/openshift/e2e/ginkgo/parallel/1-120_repo_server_system_ca_trust.go
ClusterTrustBundle cleanup is registered after creation. Tests use randomized resource names and no longer purge labeled ClusterTrustBundles.
Clusters without the CTB API can fail the CA-trust E2E context rather than skip it, so the unsupported-resource handling should be fixed before merge.

Full details: Title check
Explanation
The title names the primary change: moving the 1-120_repo_server_system_ca_trust.go e2e test from the sequential package to the parallel package. The raw summary confirms the file was deleted from sequential and added to parallel with parallel-safe setup, so the title matches the changeset. The title uses the conventional commit style and is specific enough for a reader scanning history.
Full details: Description check
Explanation
The description is related to the changeset. It states the test is unified with the argocd-operator version, moved to parallel, and has the openshift label removed. These points match the raw summary. The description also marks E2E tests as updated, which matches the changes.

- Line 57: Update detectClusterTrustBundleSupport to treat Kubernetes no-match
errors as unsupported, returning false just as it does for
ErrResourceDiscoveryFailed. Preserve the existing failure behavior for other
errors and the true result when the API is supported.
- Line 376: Move each DeferCleanup for combinedCtb, oneCtb, twoCtb, and fourCtb
into its corresponding expectReconcile action, immediately after the successful
k8sClient.Create. Remove the cleanup registrations after expectReconcile so
cleanup is registered even if reconciliation fails; preserve each bundle’s
existing deletion behavior.

Treat a missing CTB API as unsupported, not as a test failure.
detectClusterTrustBundleSupport returns false only for *apiutil.ErrResourceDiscoveryFailed. If the cluster does not serve certificates.k8s.io/v1beta1, the controller-runtime REST mapper may return a no-match error instead. That error reaches Expect(err).ToNot(HaveOccurred()). BeforeEach calls this function at line 90, so every spec in this Context fails, including specs that never use ClusterTrustBundles. The PR removes the openshift label, so these specs now run in Kind E2E, where this condition is more likely.
Handle the no-match error the same way as the discovery error:
Suggested fix
func detectClusterTrustBundleSupport(k8sClient client.Client, ctx context.Context) bool {
err := k8sClient.List(ctx, &certificatesv1beta1.ClusterTrustBundleList{})
if _, ok := err.(*apiutil.ErrResourceDiscoveryFailed); ok {
return false
}
+ if meta.IsNoMatchError(err) {+ return false+ }
Expect(err).ToNot(HaveOccurred()) // Every other error is an error
return true
}
Add the import k8s.io/apimachinery/pkg/api/meta if the file does not already import it.
