Full details: Stable And Deterministic Test Names

Explanation

The pull request changes only a Go import, dependency declarations, and go.sum entries. No Ginkgo test files or test titles are added or modified, so no unstable or overly specific test name is introduced.

Full details: Microshift Test Compatibility

Explanation

PASS: The pull request changes only the go-github dependency, its import, and go.sum entries. The authoritative diff adds no Ginkgo e2e tests or other test declarations, so the MicroShift compatibility criteria do not apply.

Full details: Single Node Openshift (Sno) Test Compatibility

Explanation

The pull request adds no Ginkgo e2e tests. Its only source change updates the go-github import, and the other changes update dependency metadata in go.mod and go.sum. The SNO compatibility check is therefore not applicable.

Full details: Topology-Aware Scheduling Compatibility

Explanation

PASS: The pull request changes only the go-github import in cmd/cluster/sre_operators/listCmd.go and dependency metadata in go.mod and go.sum. It does not add or modify deployment manifests, operators, controllers, replicas, affinity, topology spread, node selectors, tolerations, or PDBs. The topology-aware scheduling check is therefore not applicable.

Full details: Ote Binary Stdout Contract

Explanation

The PR changes only the go-github import and dependency checksums. It adds no stdout write or process-level setup code. Existing fmt.Println calls in listCmd.go are unchanged and occur in command logic, not the listed process-level setup functions.

Full details: Ipv6 And Disconnected Network Test Compatibility

Explanation

The pull request changes only the go-github dependency metadata and one import path in cmd/cluster/sre_operators/listCmd.go. It adds no Ginkgo e2e tests or other test code, so the IPv6 and disconnected-network test compatibility conditions do not apply.

Full details: No-Weak-Crypto

Explanation

The PR adds only a go-github v93 import, module requirement, and checksums. It adds no MD5, SHA1, DES, RC4, Blowfish, ECB, custom crypto, or secret-comparison code. The repository search also found only an existing constant-time comparison, outside the changed lines.

Full details: Container-Privileges

Explanation

PASS: The pull request changes only a Go import and Go dependency/checksum entries. It changes no container or Kubernetes manifest, and it adds no privileged, hostPID, hostNetwork, hostIPC, SYS_ADMIN, root, or allowPrivilegeEscalation setting.

Full details: No-Sensitive-Data-In-Logs

Explanation

PASS. The pull request changes only the go-github import, dependency versions, and go.sum checksums. It does not add or modify logging. Existing messages mention a token placeholder but do not print a token, and those lines are unchanged.

cmd/cluster/sre_operators/listCmd.go:512
🎯 Functional Correctness | 🔴 Critical | ⚡ Quick win

Update client construction for go-github v93.

github.NewClient(nil) now returns (*Client, error), so assigning it to one variable prevents compilation. The v63 API returned a single *Client. Passing nil to the new functional-option API would also panic when the option is invoked. (raw.githubusercontent.com)

Call github.NewClient() without options and propagate its error through getObservabilityOperatorVersion and its callers. As per path instructions, do not ignore the returned error.

Hi @red-hat-konflux-kflux-prd-rh02[bot]. Thanks for your PR.

I'm waiting for a openshift member to verify that this patch is reasonable to test. If it is, they should reply with /ok-to-test on its own line. Until that is done, I will not automatically test new commits in this PR, but the usual testing commands by org members will still work.

Regular contributors should join the org to skip this step.

Once the patch is verified, the new status will be reflected by the ok-to-test label.

I understand the commands that are listed here.

L27: Summary
L28: Taskcluster: Unauthenticated remote code execution in `web-server` via GraphQL `filter` argument (sift `$where`)
L29: Details
L30: Taskcluster is the task execution framework that supports Mozilla's continuous integration and release processes. Prior to version 100.3.0, Taskcluster is vulnerable to unauthenticated RCE on Taskcluster deployments with an anonymous role that exposes the GraphQL endpoint and parses filter arguments using the sift library. This issue has been patched in version 100.3.0.

Add provenance attestations and artifact signing.

The guidance requires provenance attestations and Sigstore/cosign signatures. .goreleaser.yml and both release workflows only produce SHA-256 checksums. Add these controls before publishing artifacts.

The guidance requires flagging known CVEs with an osv.dev cross-reference. It does not require persistent OSV scanning or separate SBOM generation. No known CVE for github.com/google/go-github/v93 v93.0.0 is established. This control gap exists in both the PR base and head, so it is pre-existing and not introduced by this dependency upgrade.

Review comment at @go.mod at line 35:
Keep the github.com/google/go-github/v93 dependency change scoped to the
upgrade; address the separate release-control gap by updating .goreleaser.yml
and both release workflows to attest artifact provenance and sign artifacts with
Sigstore/cosign before publishing.
