I’m a Computer Engineering student at The American University in Cairo. I build software that makes complex systems easier to inspect, test and use, from network protocols and Linux tooling to retrieval pipelines and computational geometry.
My experience includes a software engineering internship at Microsoft, research at AUC, and co-founding MedDigi-Vers. I’m interested in graduate software engineering, backend, systems and research engineering roles.
| Project | What to explore |
|---|---|
| NewTorrent | Python BitTorrent v1 download engine: nonblocking peer scheduling, piece verification, resumable transfers, and a local two-peer demo. Design |
| ProcSentinel | Team-built Rust/Linux process manager with terminal and graphical interfaces. My documented areas include signals, priorities, grouping, containers and scheduling. |
| LitTraceQA | Literature-grounded QA with paper retrieval, PDF evidence and evaluation tooling. Architecture · Results and reproducibility |
| Arabic sentence segmentation | Arabic encoder ensembles and structured decoding, with a separately attributed, pinned ENSAR research integration. Research provenance |
| GIS Cup solver | C++ computational geometry and combinatorial optimization for visibility-constrained antenna placement, with independent geometry and submission checks. |
| Structured ASIC flow | Collaborative Python/Tcl physical-design project: placement optimization, clock-tree/ECO generation and OpenROAD scripts. Build and evidence |
RF Signal Lab — interactive DSP and modulation simulator.
RISC-V pipeline — educational Verilog processor prototype.
HTTP server · Git loose objects · Mini-shell — protocol and systems learning projects.
Project READMEs document team contributions, implementation scope and verification. Research results retain their evaluation context, including the distinction between automated and manually audited submissions.
