Review comments at @.github/workflows/claude-responder.yml:
- Line 110: Update the release workflow ordering so the required branch-ref
canary runs only after the render-claude-summary v1.4.0 tag is published; move
the canary after tag publication or publish the tag before it, ensuring both
changed summary steps can resolve the action.
Review comments at @CHANGELOG.md:
- Around line 18-19: Update the changelog sentence after the `max_turns: 40`
reference to address the reader directly, replacing “Callers that want the old
cap” with second-person wording while preserving the instruction to set the old
cap to 40.

Summary
The responder's
max_turnsdefault of 40 turned completed work into failed runs.claude-code-actionenforces the cap after the fact: on lentago/claytonia#139 and #140 (2026-10-13) the responder finished, posted its comment, and then the run went red with "Claude reported a successful result after 46 turns, exceeding the configured maximum of 40". The only effect of the cap at that point is a red check onmainand a red row on the fleet's Actions dashboard.Of the three options in #72, this takes the first: raise the default and keep the cap. 46 turns was a normal issue-reading task, so the default moves to 80, enough room for one of those while still stopping a session that never converges. The input's description now says what the cap is for. Callers that want the old ceiling set
max_turns: 40explicitly; no caller sets it today, so every caller on the default gets the new ceiling when it bumps.Released as v1.4.0 rather than a patch, per RELEASING.md: an existing input's default changed, even though the only behavioural effect for callers relying on it is that longer runs are allowed. The internal
render-claude-summaryrefs move tov1.4.0in the same change (RELEASING step 2), and CHANGELOG.md carries the entry. The tag is cut on this commit once it is onmain.Validation: both workflow files parse; the change is a default and a description, with no expression or step changes.
