Why

The org page listed tools per repo. It now explains the four layers by purpose, the tenant boundary, and the other tenants on the platform, matching the platform ARCHITECTURE doc and the LinkedIn diagram. Tool names stay in each repo's README so this page does not go stale.

Needs attention

  • profile/README.md: the mermaid chart; check it renders as you want on the org page.

Verified

  • No em-dashes; all repo links resolve.

Mermaid Diagram Clarity

The new Mermaid diagram introduces a subgraph for tenants but does not clearly indicate the relationship between the platform layer and the tenants subgraph. This could lead to confusion about whether the platform layer is shared across tenants or if it's a separate entity. Additionally, the diagram lacks explicit labeling of the tenant boundary, which was mentioned in the PR description.

        apps["<b>Applications</b>\nthe software being built"]

    end
    platform["<b>Platform</b>\nsecurity baseline every tenant inherits, plus shared services"]
    infra["<b>Infrastructure</b>\ncontrol plane that provisions compute and clusters on any hardware"]

PR Code Suggestions ✨

Explore these optional code suggestions:

CategorySuggestion                                                                                                                                    Impact
General
Clarify AI SRE relay's role in the architecture

Clarify the relationship between the apps repository and the AI SRE relay to ensure
readers understand its role within the overall architecture.

profile/README.md [56]

-The platform hosts other tenants alongside jdwlabs, each with its own delivery and application repos: [jdwillmsen](https://github.com/jdwillmsen) and [dotablaze-tech](https://github.com/dotablaze-tech).
+The platform hosts other tenants alongside jdwlabs, each with its own delivery and application repos: [jdwillmsen](https://github.com/jdwillmsen) and [dotablaze-tech](https://github.com/dotablaze-tech). The `apps` repository also contains the [AI SRE relay](https://github.com/jdwlabs/apps/tree/main/apps/backend/ai-sre-relay), a Go service that investigates Alertmanager alerts and tracks them as tickets until resolution.
Suggestion importance[1-10]: 4

__

Why: This suggestion aims to clarify the role of the AI SRE relay in the architecture. While it's a reasonable enhancement for readability, it's a minor improvement and doesn't address any functional issues, hence a moderate score.

Low
Add diagram description for clarity

Consider adding a brief description or caption for the Mermaid diagram to help
readers understand the visual representation of the layered architecture at a
glance.

profile/README.md [35-47]

 ```mermaid
 flowchart TD
     subgraph tenants["Per tenant: jdwlabs · jdwillmsen · dotablaze-tech"]
         apps["<b>Applications</b>\nthe software being built"]
         delivery["<b>Delivery</b>\neach tenant's GitOps desired state"]
     end
+
+    %% Diagram showing the four-layer architecture of the lab
<details><summary>Suggestion importance[1-10]: 3</summary>
__
Why: The suggestion proposes adding a comment to the Mermaid diagram, which is a minor stylistic improvement. However, the added comment doesn't significantly enhance understanding or functionality, so it's rated low.
<details><summary>Improve table formatting consistency</summary>
___
**Ensure consistent formatting for the table entries by aligning the descriptions and <br>repository links for better readability and maintainability.**
[profile/README.md [49-54]](https://github.com/jdwlabs/.github/pull/63/files#diff-0e83982cf6f4dabedcbf7b12029a56c6f4a728064ba99543fff8f227c0654b45R49-R54)
```diff
+| Layer | Job | Repo |
+|-------|-----|------|
+| Infrastructure | The lab's own cloud provider: provisions compute and clusters on whatever hardware is underneath | [infrastructure](https://github.com/jdwlabs/infrastructure) |
+| Platform | The managed layer, comparable to a managed Kubernetes service: a security baseline every tenant inherits (scoped access, pod security, network policy, quotas) plus shared services such as databases, storage, certificates, secrets, monitoring and alerting | [platform](https://github.com/jdwlabs/platform) |
+| Delivery | What a tenant runs, declared in Git and kept apart from application code | [deployments](https://github.com/jdwlabs/deployments) for the jdwlabs tenant |
+| Applications | The software being built; it produces images and never deploys itself | [apps](https://github.com/jdwlabs/apps) for the jdwlabs tenant |

Suggestion importance[1-10]: 2

__

Why: The suggestion requests improved formatting for the table, but the existing code is already formatted consistently. There are no actual inconsistencies to address, making this suggestion largely redundant.

Reviewed the diff: facts match the repo (tenant config, tenant-envelope templates, shared services). Non-blocking nits only: table cell alignment in raw markdown (#520), one unwrapped line (#521).
