Home Assistant integration for Alterego climate control systems (radiant floor, fan coil, VMC/dehumidifiers). Supports monitoring and full control of zones, timers, and dehumidifiers via the Alterego cloud API.
- GUI Configuration: Set up via the Home Assistant UI — no YAML editing required
- Station Selection: Choose from all available stations after login
- Zone Monitoring: Temperature, humidity, and dewpoint sensors per zone
- Seasonal Climate Control: Zones switch automatically between
cool(summer) andheat(winter) mode based on the configured season - Forcing Modes: Override each zone to AUTO / COMFORT / ECONOMY / OFF
- Setpoints: Set comfort and economy setpoints independently for summer and winter
- Dehumidifier / VMC Control: Override speed (AUTO, LOW, MEDIUM, HIGH, OFF) for each visible dehumidifier or VMC unit
- Timer Programming: Weekly schedule control — mode and time for each active daily slot
- Season Select: Switch the whole system between SUMMER and WINTER from Home Assistant
- Efficient Polling: Zones every 30 s, dehumidifiers every 60 s, global status and timers every 5 min — changes made from Home Assistant are re-read immediately
- Re-authentication: If your password changes, Home Assistant asks for the new credentials instead of failing silently
- Localized: Entity names and messages in English and Italian
- Open HACS in Home Assistant
- Go to Integrations
- Click the three dots (top right) → Custom repositories
- Add

- Go to Settings → Devices & Services → Add Integration, search for Alterego

To rename the station, click Configure on the integration page. To change credentials, use Reconfigure from the integration's menu (⋮).

Entity names are translated (English / Italian) and prefixed with the device name, e.g. Living Summer comfort setpoint.
Timer slot start time for each active slot (e.g. Monday slot 1 time) per day of the week. Slots that are unused (N/U) at setup are not created; a slot set to N/U later becomes unavailable.
Entities not appearing — if the API is unreachable at startup the integration retries automatically; check HA logs for API errors.
Entities unavailable — the Alterego cloud API did not answer; they recover on the next successful poll.
Authentication errors — verify email and password; ensure your Alterego account has an active station.
HACS: "unable to select next github token from pool" — configure a GitHub Personal Access Token in HACS settings (HACS → three dots → Settings → GitHub token).
