The helper console commands reject
--versionunless operational arguments are supplied. Share the existing distribution-metadata version behavior across all six declared console entry points, before configuration, state, metrics or consumer work begins. Required operational arguments and the source-checkout fallback stay intact.Demonstration: the new parser controls first produced five exit-2 failures (event, once, GitHub routes/work and state-key migration), while the main command already passed. All six now print their own command name plus the installed distribution version and exit 0 without operational inputs; invoking them without arguments still exits 2.
Validation: 682 tests and 46 subtests, Ruff, built sdist/wheel, and an isolated Python 3.11 installation outside the checkout. The installed smoke checks actual console wrappers against wheel metadata and retains the canary's firing/UNKNOWN/resolved checks. The pre-existing source-checkout fallback test now patches the shared helper's metadata import. Hosted Python and platform CI remains required. No published package or running service changes.
