PR Sweep v0.13.0
TL;DR: The board now opens with how the sprint is going, and Copy standup turns that into a standup you can paste into Teams or Discord in one click.
New
- Health strip tells the sprint's story: days left, open, needs attention, merged and median time to merge, each with a short note.
- Copy standup at the end of the strip: what merged since the last working day, then what's blocked, what needs attention and what's in review, with a link to each PR.
- Pastes cleanly: Teams gets bold headings, lists and PR links. Discord and plain-text places get Markdown.
- Says what it copied, like "Copied: 3 merged, 3 blocked, 3 need attention, 5 in review".
- The whole team's numbers: author chips, search and snoozes change the tables and the Sweep, never the strip or the standup.
- The portable exe tells you when a new version is out: click Download in the top bar to get it from GitHub.
Heads up
- First refresh after updating is a full one: the cache format changed. A few seconds longer, once.
- The sprint-end warning moved from the Sweep header into the strip.
- Copy standup only shows when the board includes today, so it's hidden on past and future sprints.
- Monday's standup covers since Friday: "merged since" counts from the previous weekday.
- Slack hasn't been tried yet: it gets the same formatted version as Teams.
- Portable copies announce new versions from this release on, so download this one by hand.
Getting it
Installed copies update themselves. When the top bar says Restart to update, click it. The portable exe doesn't update itself: download the new one from this page.
PR Sweep v0.12.0
TL;DR: PR Sweep has a calmer, clearer new look, and it knows your sprints: set the schedule once, and the board opens on the current sprint and moves on by itself.
New
- Sprints: set when the first one starts and how long they run. The board opens on the current sprint.
- Rolls over by itself: when a sprint ends, the board moves to the next one. No list to keep up to date.
- Sprint arrows in the top bar step back and forward. Current jumps back to today's sprint.
- Rename a sprint or make one longer in Settings. The sprints after it move to follow.
- Custom still works: pick it in the top bar and set From and To dates, like before.
- New look in light and dark: easier-to-read tables, a row of counts at the top, and status you can read without relying on color.
- Health strip at the top: each count says whether it's fine, like "3 untouched for 5+ days".
- CI status in words: Pass, Fail or Running on every open PR.
- Freshness in the top bar: when the board last updated, or that the last refresh failed.
- Clear filters in one click when author chips or search hide everything.
Fixed
- Ctrl+R reloads the board instead of leaving a blank window.
- Error messages say what went wrong in plain words, with GitHub's details underneath.
Heads up
- Your saved date range stays as it is until you set up sprints in Settings.
- The sprint-end warning works with sprints on their own. With a custom range, it still needs a To date.
- Snoozed and quiet rows now show a tag instead of being faded out.
Getting it
Installed copies update themselves. When the top bar says Restart to update, click it.
PR Sweep v0.11.0
TL;DR: A new Sweep list at the top of the board shows which PRs need a human, why, and what to click next. Full refreshes are about 3× faster, and whole-org views on big orgs load instead of failing.
✨ New
- Sweep list: every stuck PR, with the reason and how long it's been stuck.
- One-click next step on each row: Fix CI, Resolve conflict, Re-review, Merge, Request reviewers, Nudge.
- Snooze a row until the PR changes, gets worse, or tomorrow.
- Quiet rows: PRs that are only waiting or stale, or untouched for a month, sit behind Show quiet.
- Sprint-end warning in a sprint's last 2 days: "N open PRs aren't approved yet."
- Tray menu counts what needs the team's attention.
- Open means open: PRs carried over from before your date range now show up.
- Team review requests show in the Awaiting column, like
acme/platform.
⚡ Faster
- Full refresh on a 5-person team: 28.9 s → 9.1 s.
- Merged PRs load a week at a time, 4 weeks in parallel.
🐛 Fixed
- Whole-org views on big orgs no longer fail with
HTTP 502. - A cut-off response from GitHub is retried instead of breaking the refresh.
👀 Heads up
- First refresh after updating is a full one: the cache format changed. A few seconds longer, once.
- Counts may go up: open PRs from before your date range are included now.
- Whole-org views on very large orgs are still slow (a couple of minutes): GitHub rate-limits the searches.
- The sprint-end warning needs a To date in the header.
⬆️ Getting it
Installed copies update themselves. When the header says the update is ready, click Restart.
