Summary

User Impact

Changes

  • Hidden: true on the compile-check native command entry. Tests pin that it stays routable but is left out of listing, completion and the unknown-command suggestions; the hidden-probe test no longer assumes it is the only hidden entry.
  • internal: true on the compile-check skill, so skill installs leave it out again. The generated .claude and .agents copies are removed, and the command's --help no longer points at a skill that is not installed.
  • README entries removed, the glossary and docs/compile-check.md state the hidden state and its reason, and ADR 0018 carries an amendment stating that this is not its reversal condition (no tester round found a miss) and how the amendment is undone.
  • Shared release inputs stamped for the common module change.

Not changed

Verification

  • go test ./... and golangci-lint run ./... in cli/common, cli/dispatcher and cli/project-runner: pass (one project-runner test that binds a Unix socket could not run in the local sandbox; CI covers it)
  • go run ./cmd/check-skill-size in cli/release-automation and scripts/sync-tool-docs.sh --check: no findings
  • Rebuilt development dispatcher: uloop --help does not mention compile-check, uloop compile-check --help still prints usage without a skill line
  • scripts/stamp-release-inputs.sh run, and re-run by the pre-commit hook with the same result

Follow-up

…ttled

ADR 0018 showed the command in --help, uloop list, completion, the
README and skill installs once its miss-side gaps were closed. Those
gaps stay closed, but when an agent should run the offline check
instead of uloop compile is still open, and the next release would
advertise a command whose use is not explained yet. So the command
goes back to routable-but-unlisted, as it was before #3364; nothing
in what it detects changes.

- Hidden: true on the native command entry. Tests pin that
compile-check stays routable but is left out of listing, completion
and the unknown-command suggestions; the hidden-probe test no longer
assumes it is the only hidden entry.
- internal: true on the skill, so skill installs leave it out again.
The generated .claude and .agents copies are removed, and the
command's --help no longer points at a skill that is not installed.
- README entries removed, the glossary notes the hidden state, and
ADR 0018 carries an amendment saying this is not its reversal
condition and how the amendment is undone.
- Shared release inputs stamped for the common module change.

📝 Walkthrough

The change keeps compile-check registered and routable, but hides it from command listings, help, completion, and skill distribution. It removes the command’s skill documentation and README entries, and updates tests and documentation to reflect its hidden status.

Changes: Compile-check visibility

Layer / File(s) Summary
Hide compile-check in the native command registry
cli/common/clicore/command_registry.go, cli/common/clicore/command_registry_test.go, cli/common/clicore/command_errors_test.go
The registry marks compile-check as hidden. Tests check that it remains dispatcher-owned and is excluded from visible commands and completion.
Remove compile-check from discovery and skill surfaces
Packages/src/Editor/CliOnlyTools~/CompileCheck/Skill/SKILL.md, .agents/skills/uloop-compile-check/*, .claude/skills/uloop-compile-check/*, README.md, README_ja.md, cli/common/tooldocs/*, cli/dispatcher/internal/dispatcher/*, cli/project-runner/internal/projectrunner/list_names_test.go, cli/dispatcher/shared-inputs-stamp.json, cli/project-runner/shared-inputs-stamp.json, docs/adr/0018-compile-check-is-its-own-command-and-is-shown.md, docs/glossary.md
The skill is marked internal, its documentation and README entries are removed, and guidance, help, and list expectations omit compile-check. The ADR and glossary state that the command remains hidden while its placement is unsettled.

Comment @coderabbitai help to get the list of available commands.

The glossary and the repository instructions send readers to this file,
and its opening still said the command is shown since ADR 0018. State
the hidden state and the reason here too, so the three documents agree.

⚠️ Unverified finding
Verification ran but could not confirm this finding. It is shown for review, not as a verified issue.

Unexpected-output entry " compile" does not guard compile-check.

The entry " compile" is a substring check. It also matches " compile-check", so it does catch a listed compile-check. But the same check would fail if a real compile tool were listed, which the earlier " compile " form avoided. The comment says the entry guards compile-check, and it does. The risk is a false failure if help ever lists a compile command. Use an exact " compile-check" entry to state the intent.

Remove stale uloop-compile-check installations when the skill becomes internal.

A fresh normal install excludes the skill correctly. However, users who installed uloop-compile-check before this change can retain its copy because normal installation filters it out before cleanup. Add it to both deprecated-skill cleanup lists so existing .agents and .claude copies are removed.
