Summary

  • bench/vs-bullmq: reproducible harness (bunqueue 2.9.20 vs BullMQ 6.4.2 + ioredis 6.0.0 on Redis 8.10.2, BullMQ on Node.js and Bun), broker pinned to two cores, clients on the other CCD, warm-up + 5 measured runs, open-loop latency, exact-delivery checks; raw results of the published run committed.
  • New page /guide/bullmq-benchmark/ (generated from the data, plain Markdown) and a homepage benchmark section after the hero: machine, top measured ratios, one chart per unit, table view, honest fine print.
  • Comparison guide, benchmarks guide, the July article (flagged) and llms.txt updated to the new figures.
In memory (median of 5) bunqueue 2.9.20 BullMQ 6.4.2 (best runtime)
addBulk, 100 per call 207,601 jobs/s 52,503 3.95x
add, 64 in flight 202,072 77,692 2.60x
drain, 4 worker processes 53,754 40,699 1.32x
delayed lateness p50 4.74 ms 40.5 ms 8.5x

On disk Redis with AOF is ahead (drain ~7x); stated on the page and the homepage.

Verification

  • bun run build (docs) + discovery validation: 115 full-text pages, 387 sitemap URLs
  • Docs tests (22 files): 220 pass / 0 fail; release posts check OK
  • Screenshots: homepage section light/dark/mobile, benchmark page

No source or test changes.

… homepage

Add bench/vs-bullmq, a reproducible harness for bunqueue 2.9.20 against BullMQ
6.4.2 on Redis 8.10.2: pinned versions, the broker and clients on separate CPU
core complexes, one broker at a time, a warm-up and five measured runs per
scenario, open-loop pickup latency from each job's scheduled send time, and an
exact-delivery check on every consuming run. Commit the published run's raw
results, and generate the site's data file and the new /guide/bullmq-benchmark/
page from them.

The homepage gets a benchmark section after the hero: the test machine, the
four largest measured ratios, one chart per unit, a table view and the on-disk
result (Redis with AOF ahead) in the fine print. The comparison guide, the
benchmarks guide, the July benchmark article and llms.txt use the new figures.
