see you, space cowboy
I build software the way I watch films I like twice — once for what happens, once for how it was made to happen.
Four and a half years split between a computing science degree and a film studies minor left me with one running question I keep pointing at different things: how does a system decide what matters? A recommendation engine deciding relevance. A director deciding where to cut. A frame deciding what stays outside it.

Reel A — Systems Backend architecture, information retrieval, applied ML, the unglamorous plumbing that makes an interface feel inevitable. |
Reel B — Cinema Film theory, cross-cultural representation, the grammar of editing, why a shot held two seconds too long changes everything. |
Computers arrange information. Cinema arranges attention. I ended up studying both because I couldn't tell which one I meant first.
