Billing Analytics — FOSSBilling Module

An invoice-focused analytics dashboard for the FOSSBilling admin panel. All financial widgets use invoice line items, tax settings, refunds/credit notes, and the system base currency.

Compatibility: FOSSBilling 0.8.7 or newer.

Features

• Gross billing, refunds/credits, net billing, and average invoice value.
• Same-day comparisons: for example, September 1–2 is compared with August 1–2.
• Correct end-of-month and leap-year handling without date overflow.
• Finalized-only mode includes both paid invoices and refunded credit notes.
• Tax-aware and multi-currency calculations normalized to the base currency.
• Product category, payment method, top product, top client, and recent invoice reporting.
• CSV export protected against spreadsheet formula injection.
• FOSSBilling core-style charts using the renderer bundled with the admin theme, with no external CDN dependency.
• Dedicated billinganalytics.view permission; product-category filtering does not require product.view.

Installation

1. Download the latest release ZIP.
2. Extract or copy the Billinganalytics folder into the FOSSBilling modules/ directory.
3. In the admin panel, open Extensions → Modules.
4. Install Billing Analytics.
5. Open Invoices → Billing Analytics.

The install folder must be named exactly Billinganalytics because that casing matches the FOSSBilling module loader.

Upgrade from Order Analytics 1.x

Version 2.0.0 changes the module ID, namespace, route, permission, and folder name from Order Analytics to Billing Analytics.

1. Back up the FOSSBilling database and existing module folder.
2. Leave the old Orderanalytics folder in place temporarily.
3. Add the new Billinganalytics folder and install Billing Analytics.
4. The installer copies existing orderanalytics staff permissions to billinganalytics and removes only the legacy extension registration.
5. Verify the dashboard, then remove the old Orderanalytics folder.

No invoice, client, transaction, product, or order records are changed by the migration.
