Normal startup now provisions a localhost-only server certificate, trusts it for the Windows user, protects its private key with DPAPI, repairs missing trust and renews before expiry. HTTP scanning remains available during setup; failures offer Retry in the app and tray. This replaces the manual certificate-command requirement.

The 0.7.5b1 release is a GitHub prerelease and leaves stable Latest unchanged. Both x64/x86 installed-app gates verify normal Windows-trusted HTTPS and identity reuse after restart. Paired with DjangoLux 1.15.1b1, which supports older helpers.

Validation: local unit discovery 36 tests passed with one Windows-only skip; real TLS/renewal tests and Chrome loopback checks passed. Windows unit/build/installed-app CI must pass before tagging.
