Make the CREDEBL SSI platform conformant with W3C Verifiable Credentials Data Model 2.0 (VC DM 2.0)
Maintain backward compatibility with 1.1
Summary by CodeRabbit
New Features
Credential issuance supports versions v1, v1.1, and v2, with v1.1 as the default. Requests can specify a version, and credential formats support string or object issuers and single or multiple credential subjects.
Credentials use version-appropriate validity dates, including validFrom and validUntil. Schema creation and OID4VC templates support selecting a credential version.
Issuance validates that credential contents match the requested version. OID4VC issuance can derive the version from its template. VC 2.0 is supported for jwt_vc_json-ld templates, but not ldp_vc templates.
Documentation
Added a conformance guide covering versioned issuance, compatibility, and migration considerations.
The changes add shared utilities for VC versions and apply version-aware credential validation, schema generation, date handling, and construction across API and OID4VC issuance. The cloud wallet documentation also corrects a spelling error.
Changes: Versioned VC issuance
Layer / File(s)
Summary
Shared VC contracts and helpers libs/common/src/vc/*, libs/common/src/interfaces/issuance.interface.ts, apps/issuance/interfaces/issuance.interfaces.ts
Shared utilities define supported versions, contexts, credential mapping, version checks, schema resolution, and validity-date refresh. Credential interfaces accept additional metadata and issuer and subject shapes.
API version inputs and validation apps/api-gateway/src/agent-service/dto/agent-service.dto.ts, apps/api-gateway/src/issuance/dtos/*, apps/api-gateway/src/issuance/utils/*, apps/api-gateway/src/issuance/issuance.service.ts, apps/api-gateway/src/oid4vc-issuance/dtos/issuer-sessions.dto.ts
DTOs accept version and validity-date fields. Credential-version validation checks submitted credentials against the requested version. API offer payloads include the selected version or the default.
Schema creation accepts a VC version. The builder selects a context and required fields by version and defines validity-date properties. Tests cover default and v2 schema output.
OID4VC template and offer versioning apps/api-gateway/src/oid4vc-issuance/dtos/*, apps/oid4vc-issuance/interfaces/*, apps/oid4vc-issuance/libs/helpers/*, apps/oid4vc-issuance/src/oid4vc-issuance.service.ts
Templates store a VC version and use version-matched contexts. Offer building checks an optional request version and emits version-specific validity fields. Format checks reject v2 for ldp_vc.
Issuance date and schema handling libs/common/src/cast.helper.ts, apps/issuance/src/issuance.service.ts
OOB payload construction uses version-specific credential mapping. Issuance services apply version-aware date refresh and resolve schema references through shared utilities.
Conformance and test setup docs/VC_DM2.0_CONFORMANCE_SPEC.md, jest.setup.ts, package.json, libs/common/src/vc/vc.spec.ts
The conformance document describes version behavior and compatibility. Tests cover shared VC utilities and version-related issuance behavior. Jest loads setup that enables strict mode and defaults OOB_BATCH_SIZE when its value is falsy.

Explanation
The title "Add vcdm2.0 conformance" matches the main objective of the PR, which makes the platform conformant with W3C VCDM 2.0 while keeping v1.1 backward compatibility. The changeset adds versioned issuance (v1, v1.1, v2), version-specific date fields and contexts, version validation in DTOs, schema builder changes, and a VCDM 2.0 conformance spec. The title is short and specific, though it does not mention backward compatibility or the version-selection behavior.

Allow v2 credentials without issuanceDate in this DTO.
validFrom is now accepted, but W3cCredentialDto.issuanceDate remains required at Lines 100–102. A v2 credential with validFrom and no deprecated issuanceDate fails validation before the agent service can process it. Make date validation depend on the credential context, or accept either start-date field. VC DM 2.0 uses validFrom and makes it optional. (w3.org)

Follow-up fixes for the VCDM 2.0 conformance work (commits b9a28eefd..4e2e2a6bc):
Envelope-level versioning: JSON-LD create-offer and OOB flows validate the requested VC version against the credential; inconsistent @context/date fields are rejected. OID4VC derives the version from the template context and returns 422 on a per-request mismatch.
Version-pure credentials: v2 emits only validFrom/validUntil and the v2 context; v1/v1.1 emits only issuanceDate/expirationDate and the v1 context. Future start dates are preserved.
Schema resolution: new resolveSchemaReference() (prefers credentialSchema.id, else the first non-W3C context) replaces the fragile @context[1] lookup; W3C schema creation accepts vcVersion.
Docs & tests: conformance spec aligned, including the bulk CSV v1.1 follow-up; 31 new unit tests.
Hygiene: all commits are signed and carry DCO Signed-off-by; fixed the 3 CodeQL URL-substring false positives with exact context matching.
Jest, CodeQL, SonarCloud, and DCO checks are green.

Store each successful offer’s resolved schema ID.
The new lookup at Line 221 accepts credentialSchema.id, but this branch still requires CommonConstants.W3C_SCHEMA_URL in the first original credential’s context. It then assigns one context-derived ID to every successful thread. For a v2 batch whose schema IDs come from credentialSchema.id, thread schema IDs can be missing or incorrect even though the offers succeed. Associate each result with its credential and store that credential’s resolveSchemaReference value. (w3.org)

Resolve the schema reference again before creating the email offer.
If a credential identifies its registered schema through credentialSchema.id, Line 780 can find that schema, but this line still reads @context[1]. A v2 credential can use that position for a separate JSON-LD context, or have no second context. getW3CSchemaAttributes then receives the wrong URL or undefined, and the email offer fails. Use resolveSchemaReference here too. The VC data model treats contexts and data schemas as distinct properties. (w3.org)

Validate issuanceDate whenever the client sends it.
@ValidateIf turns off every validator on the property when its condition is false. If validFrom is present, @IsISO8601() therefore does not run on issuanceDate. As a result, a payload with a valid validFrom and a malformed issuanceDate (for example "not-a-date") passes DTO validation and reaches the agent service. Change the condition so validation runs when validFrom is absent or when issuanceDate is defined.

Allow VC 2.0 subjects without id.
When vcVersion is v2, this call generates a schema whose credentialSubject definition requires id (apps/ledger/libs/helpers/w3c.schema.builder.ts, Line 375). VC Data Model 2.0 permits a subject without id. A credential with the requested degree claim but no subject identifier will fail its generated schema. A verifiable credential contains claims about one or more subjects. This specification defines a `credentialSubject` property for the expression of claims about one or more subjects.
A verifiable credential MUST contain a `credentialSubject` property.
credentialSubject
The value of the `credentialSubject` property is a set of objects where each object MUST be the subject of one or more claims, which MUST be serialized inside the `credentialSubject` property. Each object MAY also contain an `id` property to identify the subject, as described in Section 4.4 Identifiers.

### 4.6 Credential Subject
A verifiable credential contains claims about one or more subjects. This specification defines a `credentialSubject` property for the expression of claims about one or more subjects.
A verifiable credential MUST have a `credentialSubject` property.
credentialSubject
The value of the `credentialSubject` property is defined as a set of objects where each object MUST be the subject of one or more claims, which MUST be serialized inside the `credentialSubject` property. Each object MAY also contain an `id` to identify the subject, as described in Section 4.3 Identifiers.
Example 7: Usage of the credentialSubject property

Support array-valued credentialSubject in generated schemas.
The v2 definition accepts only an object, so a valid credential with multiple subjects can fail JSON Schema validation. This object-only definition also existed in the v1.1 schema, so the issue is pre-existing, not introduced by the version switch.

Review comment at @apps/ledger/src/schema/schema.service.ts at line 303:
Update the schema definition produced by w3cSchemaBuilder so credentialSubject
accepts either the existing validated object shape or a non-empty array of
objects using that same shape. Preserve the required fields, properties, and
additionalProperties restriction for both forms.

- **Lenient parsing**: Verification code accessing validity dates checks for both `validFrom`/`issuanceDate` and `validUntil`/`expirationDate`
### Breaking Changes
**None.** All changes are additive, with sensible defaults. Requests that previously sent a `version` inside a credential object must move it to the request envelope (the old placement was ignored by the implementation and is rejected by the DTO whitelist).

Document the breaking request-shape change.
If a client previously sent version inside a credential, that request can now fail DTO validation. Line 156 describes this change but labels it “None.” List the rejection under breaking changes, or retain acceptance of the previously tolerated field.

Review comment at @docs/VC_DM2.0_CONFORMANCE_SPEC.md at line 156:
Update the breaking-changes entry beginning “None” to list rejection of requests
that place version inside a credential, and state that version must be sent in
the request envelope; do not describe this request-shape change as having no
breaking changes.

- add optional vcVersion (v1, v1.1, v2) to jwt_vc_json-ld and ldp_vc
templates; new templates default to v1.1 and updates keep the stored
version, so existing templates and requests are unchanged
- always set the matching base context on JSON-LD templates, also when
no schemaUrl is given
- reject v2 for ldp_vc templates and vcVersion on SD-JWT/mdoc templates
- drop the v1.1 default on the credential offer version guard so v2
templates issue v2 credentials; treat v1 and v1.1 as the same version
- resolve the template version in one helper for metadata and offers
- document per-channel VCDM 2.0 support and agent-controller limits

Preserve additional JSON-LD contexts when setting the VC version.
If a JSON-LD template contains a custom context URL, buildCredentialContext(undefined, vcVersion, schemaUrl) discards that URL. The service persists the returned template. Issuer metadata and later offers then omit the context needed to interpret its claims. Pass template.context to buildCredentialContext so it replaces only the conflicting VC base context.
