Written by an AI agent (OpenCode) on behalf of @atinux. @atinux chose the positioning, titles and scope in chat; the new pages have not been reviewed by a human yet.

SEO and answer-engine work for comark.dev, from an external audit. The layer side shipped in comarkdown/comark-docs#54.

Positioning

  • One description everywhere (README, comark package.json, llms.txt, schema.org, homepage meta and hero):

Comark is an open-source Markdown parser and renderer with components, attributes and plugins. It streams AI output to React, Vue, Svelte, Angular, HTML and the terminal.

  • Homepage <title> "Comark: Markdown Parser and Renderer for Any Framework", H1 "The Markdown parser and renderer for everything." The demo # Hello World is now ##, so the page has one H1.
  • Query titles for the renderer, streaming, intro, components, security and why pages. navigation.title keeps the sidebar labels short. Unique titles and longer descriptions for the examples.

Discoverability for agents and crawlers

  • Remove the unused /compare Vue page. It made the layer exclude /compare/** from Markdown negotiation, so the compare pages had no .md twin and were missing from sitemap.md.
  • llms.txt starts with a "When to use Comark" decision rule (including when to use something else), and links seven topic files: llms-{core,streaming,vue,react,svelte,angular,plugins}.txt, built from the /raw pages.
  • sitemap.xml lists /plugins, /use-cases, /compare, /play and /stream.
  • Organization sameAs (GitHub org, npm scope); npm keywords on all packages.

New content

  • Use cases (new header tab, after Plugins) holds two sidebar sections, Use cases then Comparisons. Comparisons left the Documentation sidebar, and the content directory moved from 6.compare to 11.compare so it sorts after 10.use-cases (URLs don't change). /compare is a new index page.
  • Use cases: AI chat streaming, Vue/Nuxt, Svelte and Angular chat with the AI SDK, generative UI, Intelligent UI (a streamable component library plus a catalog that helps the model pick components, following OpenAI's Intelligent UI announcement; the page states that Comark isn't affiliated with OpenAI), docs and blogs, CMS/runtime content, CLIs and agents, emails and RSS.
  • Compare: Markstream, marked, markdown-it, remark/unified, markdown-to-jsx, svelte-markdown, vue-markdown-render, and a roundup "Choosing a Markdown Library for AI Chat in 2026". Competitor facts come from their READMEs and docs (sources listed in the agent research, available on request); no download, star, size, speed or spec numbers are quoted.
  • /syntax/markdown: replace "supports all standard CommonMark and GFM" with a "Differences from CommonMark and GFM" section. A run of the CommonMark 0.31.2 spec showed markdown-exit at 100%, while Comark's document model changes some output (shortcut reference links vs spans, autoClose/autoUnwrap defaults, tight/loose lists, empty links, image alt, Markdown inside HTML blocks, GFM email autolinks and tag filter).

Corrections to existing pages

  • comark-vs-react-markdown: said raw HTML is not rendered by default. It is: the default html plugin keeps raw HTML, including <script>, which then appears in SSR output. The FAQ now points to the security plugin.
  • comark-vs-streamdown: an unregistered component renders as a plain element (not skipped), and Streamdown highlighting is the @streamdown/code plugin.
  • AGENTS.md: # Hello **World** gets the id hello-world.

Worth a look

  • The <script> behavior above may deserve a code change (for example, block script by default) rather than only docs. The use-case pages tell readers to add security({ blockedTags: [...] }) for model output.
  • Spec pass rate and benchmark pages are not included, pending a decision.

Checks

  • pnpm lint and pnpm typecheck pass.
  • pnpm prepack && pnpm vitest run bundle -u: snapshot updated (README and package.json changes; @comark/angular also shows +2 files on a fresh build).
  • pnpm docs locally: every new page returns 200 with one <h1>; llms.txt, the topic files and sitemap.xml list the new pages.

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • New Features
    • Added practical guides for AI chat and streaming, generative interfaces, documentation sites, CMS content, terminal output, and email/RSS rendering.
    • Added a comparison hub with guides evaluating Comark against other Markdown tools.
  • Documentation
    • Expanded and clarified Markdown compatibility, security, streaming, framework rendering, and use-case guidance.
    • Updated page titles, descriptions, navigation, and product information for clearer discovery.
  • Changes
    • Removed the side-by-side comparison playground.

…e and topic files

- One description everywhere (README, npm, llms.txt, schema, homepage meta and hero)
- Homepage H1 "The Markdown parser and renderer for everything." and demo heading as h2
- Query titles for renderer, streaming, intro, syntax, security, why and example pages,
with short sidebar labels kept in navigation.title; unique example titles
- llms.txt: "When to use Comark" first, plus llms-{core,streaming,vue,react,svelte,angular,plugins}.txt
- Sitemap lists /play and /stream; drop the unused /compare Vue page so /compare/** gets .md twins
- Organization sameAs, npm keywords, comark-docs layer bumped to comarkdown/comark-docs#54
…to-jsx, svelte-markdown, vue-markdown-render pages and an AI chat roundup

Also correct two existing claims: raw HTML renders by default (react-markdown page), and
an unregistered component renders as a plain element; Streamdown highlighting is a plugin.
