The contact link already sent people to /discussions, with the text "(if Discussions is enabled)." Discussions was not enabled, so the link was dead and the sentence admitted the repo did not know its own setting. People landed in Issues instead — which is how the first thread here, a design conversation about an adapter mapping, came to sit under a tab named for defects.

Discussions is enabled now, so the hedge has nothing left to hedge. The line says what the surface is for instead.

Issue #1 stays where it is: converting a live thread moves its URL, and the other party said they would cite it.

Pull request overview

Updates the GitHub issue template configuration to more clearly route non-bug conversations to GitHub Discussions now that Discussions is enabled for the repository, removing outdated hedging language.

Changes:

  • Reworded the “Question / discussion” contact link description to explicitly indicate it’s for non-defect threads.
  • Removed the parenthetical “(if Discussions is enabled)” since Discussions is now enabled.

💡 Add a code-review agent skill or configure MCP servers for context-aware, tailored reviews. Learn more in the docs.
