Battery levels of your Logitech mouse, keyboard and headset in the Windows 11 taskbar, without G HUB.
- Every device right in the taskbar, next to the tray: device icon and charge, in the clock's font
- Or a battery icon in the notification area that looks like the one Windows draws for your laptop battery
- Click either for a Windows 11 style flyout with every device, its charge and how it is connected
- Notifications when a device connects, disconnects, runs low or finishes charging
- Talks to the hardware directly (HID++ 2.0 and Logitech's Centurion protocol); nothing else to install
- Single ~130 KB exe, a few MB of RAM, no admin rights, no telemetry
Download TaskbarLogiBattery-Setup-x.y.z.exe from Releases and run it. It installs for your user
only (no UAC prompt) and can start the app when you sign in.
A portable TaskbarLogiBattery.exe is attached to each release too; put it anywhere and run it.
Requires Windows 10 or 11 with .NET Framework 4.x (preinstalled).
Confirmed on real hardware:
| Device | Connection | Protocol |
|---|---|---|
| PRO X 2 LIGHTSPEED headset | LIGHTSPEED dongle | Centurion, battery feature 0x0104 |
| PRO X SUPERLIGHT 2 mouse | LIGHTSPEED receiver, or USB-C cable | HID++ 2.0 0x1004 Unified Battery |
| PRO X TKL LIGHTSPEED keyboard | LIGHTSPEED receiver, or USB-C cable | HID++ 2.0 0x1004 Unified Battery |
Should work with (same protocols, not every model tested):
- Mice and keyboards on a LIGHTSPEED, Unifying or Bolt receiver, or plugged in with a cable: G502 / G703 / G903 /
G305 / G309 / PRO / PRO X SUPERLIGHT, G915 / G715 / G515 / PRO X TKL, MX Master / MX Anywhere / MX Keys, and other
HID++ 2.0 devices with a battery feature (
0x1004,0x1000,0x1001) - Headsets with HID++ battery reporting (
0x1F20/0x1004): G533, G733, G933, G935, G535, PRO X Wireless and similar - Newer headsets that use the Centurion protocol like the PRO X 2
If yours is missing, run TaskbarLogiBattery.exe --probe in a terminal and paste the output in an
issue. --probe --raw adds the raw HID++ traffic.
| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| Click the taskbar text or the icon | Opens the flyout. Right-click a device there to rename, hide or forget it |
| Hover | Tooltip with every device and its charge |
| Right-click | Windows 11 style menu (below) |
| Drag the taskbar text | Fine-tune its position along the taskbar (remembered) |
Menu
- Taskbar: show the devices in the taskbar (on by default), show the tray icon as well, next to the clock or at the left edge. Connected devices are listed headset, keyboard, mouse; a low one turns red, a charging one gets a bolt. When the taskbar text is on, the tray icon is hidden but still delivers the notifications
- Tray icon: which device the icon shows (the lowest battery by default, or a fixed one), the icon style, and One icon per device
- Notifications: connect, disconnect, low battery, fully charged (each on/off), the low battery level (5–30 %), and a test notification
- Check every: 30 seconds to 5 minutes (devices also report changes on their own, see below)
- Devices: rename, hide, show on the tray icon, forget a device that is no longer used
- Language / Dil, Start with Windows, Refresh now, Updates, diagnostic log
Icon styles (dark and light taskbar)
Battery (red when low, with a bolt while charging), percentage, or the device glyph with a small bar. Icons are drawn for the taskbar's size and theme and redrawn when you change either.
Notifications are regular Windows notifications, so Do not disturb and the notification settings apply.
Settings live in HKCU\Software\TaskbarLogiBattery.
Logitech devices expose a vendor HID interface next to the mouse / keyboard / audio interfaces. The app opens it with shared access and tags its requests with its own software id, so it does not lock out G HUB, Logi Options+ or Solaar.
| Hardware | What the app does |
|---|---|
| Receiver (LIGHTSPEED / Unifying / Bolt) | Reads the pairing registers (0xB5) for the paired devices, then talks HID++ 2.0 to each one. The receiver's device connected / disconnected notifications (0x41) report connects and disconnects as they happen, not only at the next check |
| Device on a cable, headset on its own dongle | HID++ 2.0 at device index 0xFF |
| Centurion headset (PRO X 2 …) | 64-byte frames (report 0x51) on usage page 0xFFA0; the battery feature is reached through the dongle's bridge feature (0x0003) |
For every device the battery feature is discovered once (Unified Battery 0x1004, Battery Status 0x1000, Battery
Voltage 0x1001, ADC Measurement 0x1F20), then read every Check every interval. Devices also push battery events
on their own, which update the icon immediately. Voltage-only devices are converted to a percentage with a Li-ion
discharge curve.
A device is identified by its wireless product id, so a mouse that moves from the receiver to a USB cable (to charge) stays the same device and does not trigger a disconnect notification. Disconnects are confirmed after a few seconds, which also hides short radio drop-outs.
Devices seen before are remembered with their last charge, so the flyout can show Not connected · seen 3 h ago.
The app checks GitHub Releases shortly after it starts and then every 6 hours. A new version is downloaded in the background, verified against the SHA-256 digest GitHub publishes for the release asset and installed silently; the app restarts itself a few seconds later. Installs wait while a fullscreen app (a game) is in front. Turn this off under Updates → Install automatically in the background; a found update then appears at the top of the menu.
- The icon is hidden behind the ^ arrow: Settings → Personalization → Taskbar → Other system tray icons → turn on TaskbarLogiBattery (the app does this once by itself on Windows 11).
- A device is not listed: turn it on and move it, then Refresh now. Run
TaskbarLogiBattery.exe --probeand open an issue with the output. - Something looks wrong: Updates → Diagnostic log, reproduce, then Open log file and attach it to an issue.
No .NET SDK needed; the C# compiler that ships with Windows is used.
build.bat :: TaskbarLogiBattery.exe
build-installer.bat :: dist\TaskbarLogiBattery-Setup-x.y.z.exe (needs Inno Setup 6)TaskbarLogiBattery.exe --dev runs a second copy next to the installed one, with its own settings
(HKCU\Software\TaskbarLogiBattery.Dev) and no update checks.
The version comes from src/AssemblyInfo.cs. Pushing a tag like v1.0.0 makes GitHub Actions build, sign (if
configured) and publish the release; installed copies pick it up on their own within about 6 hours.

The UI |
- Recopec/LogitechBatteryMonitor, the idea and the first look at the PRO X 2's Centurion battery request.
- HeadsetControl for documenting the Centurion protocol and its feature discovery, and Solaar for HID++ 2.0 details. No code from either is included.
- Logitech, LIGHTSPEED, Unifying, Bolt and G HUB are trademarks of Logitech. This project is not affiliated with Logitech.
cihazlarla denendi.
HID++ pil bildiren kulaklıklar (G533, G733, G933, G935, G535, PRO X Wireless…) ve PRO X 2 gibi Centurion kullanan yeni
Nasıl çalışır: Alıcının eşleştirme kayıtlarından eşli cihazları bulur, her biriyle HID++ 2.0 konuşur ve alıcının bağlandı / koptu bildirimleriyle bağlantı değişikliklerini anında yakalar.
