Software Analyst at Goldman Sachs, Global Banking & Markets — securities lending technology.
I built a Python validator that verifies technology-risk remediations across about a dozen production Java and Spring Boot applications, confirming that each update was made correctly and validating it end to end in QA. I also develop and support the team's Kafka Streams applications.
Outside that, most of what I build is robotics and machine learning — the projects below.
Day to day: Java · Spring Boot · Python · Apache Kafka · IBM Db2 · Sybase · SQL · REST · CI
On the side: ROS 2 · Nav2 · SLAM · PyTorch · Hugging Face Transformers
- ros-maze-solver — ROS 2 Humble workspace for a differential-drive robot: wall-following control, LiDAR mapping with slam_toolbox, Nav2 path planning. Runs headless on Apple Silicon, with a synthetic LaserScan publisher to work around Ignition's GPU-bound LiDAR sensor.
- LInkingMathsSymbols — SemEval-2022 Task 12: linking mathematical symbols in papers to the text that defines them. Span tagging with SciDeBERTa, then entity-pair relation classification with LUKE.
- CustomAssembler — a two-pass assembler and cycle-stepping simulator for a custom 16-bit ISA, written from scratch in Python.
- FileCompressor — Huffman compression in C with no libraries: the min-heap, the tree, the bit packing and the bit reader are all hand-written.
- iTouch — MacBook Touch Bar buttons for VS Code. On the Marketplace, 246 installs.
- StrikeOut — iOS task manager, SwiftUI + AVFoundation. Shipped to the App Store, where it passed 400 downloads before I let the developer subscription lapse.
