BatchPlotter

AutoCAD batch plotting tool that automatically detects frames in a drawing and sends them to a plotter — with support for multiple copies, sequential/collate modes, and cancel/resume.

Python Platform AutoCAD

✨ Features

  • Auto frame detection — finds closed polylines, block references, and 4-line rectangles automatically.
  • Manual selection mode — pick frames in AutoCAD yourself when auto-detection isn't reliable.
  • Smart caching — first scan is slow on huge drawings; subsequent scans are instant (cache stored next to the DWG).
  • Multiple plotters — Oce TDS600, AutoCAD PDF, DWG To PDF.
  • A1 / A2 paper sizes.
  • Auto / Portrait / Landscape orientation.
  • Sequential & Collate print modes.
  • Cancel with resume hint — reports the last completed frame so you know where to continue.
  • Roll size control — open Windows printer preferences from inside the app (for plotters like Oce TDS600).
  • Live progress in the GUI log.

📋 Requirements

  • Windows 10/11 (64-bit)
  • AutoCAD 2018 or newer — must be running with a drawing open
  • Python 3.10+ (only if running from source)
  • pywin32 — pip install pywin32

🚀 Usage

From source

`bash pip install pywin32 python gui.py
