Bug Cannot add Hyperlink when tinymce variables are in the textarea.

If I used a variable the default link plugin with TinyMCE no longer works. As soon as I delete that variable the link plugin works again.

This only happens when I trying inserting a link via highlighting some text first then trying to add a hyperlink.

Given the Screenshot below {First Name} & {Last Name} are my replaced variables. Since they are in the textarea I can no longer highlight the lorem text and create a hyperlink. The Model for the hyperlink still works but when I hit save the link does not get created.

Do you think it is this causing the issue editor.dom.remove(nodeList[i])
That appears to remove all parts of the HTML that are not the variable inside that span tag

nah I dont use TinyMCE anymore. I've switched to TipTap
