Zeeshan Adil

Senior engineer based in Lahore, Pakistan. I've spent 9+ years on backend systems, cloud infrastructure and distributed systems, and more recently LLM agent systems in production. Backend is my strongest area. What I enjoy most is owning systems end to end and going deeper into how things work underneath.

I write about systems internals at internalswithzee.com.

What I'm working on

  • Olostep. I own the platform behind a web search, scraping and crawling API. It runs 4M+ jobs a day on up to 600 nodes, on Kubernetes across GCP, AWS and bare metal. My work there covers platform architecture, cloud migrations, autoscaling and cost. I brought compute cost down about 30% and the database bill by about two thirds, and built a Rust service that handles 700k requests a minute on a single 4 vCPU node.
  • Ampwise. I build LLM agent systems that run in production.
  • Dev Weekends. A free software engineering community I founded and run.

Dev Weekends

Dev Weekends started in Pakistan and is now international, with fellows from 30+ countries. It's free and run by volunteers with no outside funding. We have the most open source program selections of any community in Pakistan. In 2026, 9 of our fellows were selected for Google Summer of Code, up from 2 in 2025, and our members have earned over $2.5M through remote jobs, freelancing and open source stipends.
