Summary

-  "version": "8.4.0",    # package.json, package-lock.json
-export const PACKAGE_VERSION = '8.4.0';   # src/client.ts
+  "version": "9.0.0",
+export const PACKAGE_VERSION = '9.0.0';
-## [Unreleased]
+## [9.0.0] - 2026-10-30   # CHANGELOG.md, with a lead paragraph

Release 9.0.0. It is a major because the themeparks-backfill CSV header changed: four implausibleWaits columns now sit in the middle of it (45 columns, up from 41), so a reader that takes columns by position gets the wrong ones. The library API is backward compatible, and the schema is regenerated from the current spec.

Ships with Python SDK 5.0.0, which writes the same 45 columns. test/fixtures/csv_contract.json is byte-identical in both repos.

Evidence

  • Before: package.json, package-lock.json and src/client.ts say 8.4.0, and CHANGELOG.md has an [Unreleased] section.
  • After: npm test gives 300 passed, typecheck is clean, lint has 0 errors, and npm run build succeeds. Version is 9.0.0 in all three files.

Merge Danger

Door: one-way once tagged. Merging this PR is two-way; the tag v9.0.0 triggers release.yml, which publishes to npm with provenance, and a published npm version cannot be unpublished after the first 72 hours, only deprecated.

Blast Radius: users of themeparks-backfill. The CSV header changes, and a backfill file started by an earlier version is refused on resume.

Tag v9.0.0 after merging, together with v5.0.0 on the Python SDK.
