Chief Architect
I build and harden systems end-to-end: hardware → software → networks → security → operations ....for many years, and counting.
- Built my first computer in the 1970s around an Intel 8008. Keyboard? LOL: an 8-bit switch array (toggle-in / lights-out)
- California Mathlete Finalist (1980s). Survival Research Laboratories (SF) • built/exhibited robots, incl. World’s Fair (1986)
- Silicon Valley executive leadership in enterprise technology delivery and technical teams (1985-2005)
- Law-Enforcement Command Staff: DOJ/CJIS-aligned security, surveillance, digital forensics, 911/radios/comms, physical + virtual security (2010)
- IEEE member • FCC Amateur Radio • Tower Climbing certified
Intelligent systems, embedded engineering, generative media, and experimental technology.
I design integrated hardware/software systems spanning embedded devices, sensor networks, automation, communications, security, and real-time control.
Current technologies include Raspberry Pi, ESP32, Node-RED, MQTT, radar sensing, edge computing, local AI, and reliability-focused system architecture.
My creative work extends into modular electronic synthesis, generative music, procedural 3D environments, robotics, and interactive audiovisual installations.
Current research and development includes SynesthesiaStudio, a Unity-based audiovisual engine that translates real-time musical control signals into dynamic virtual environments.
The common thread across my work is integrating electronics, software, physical systems, and artistic experimentation into functional, independently engineered systems.
