This is the Project Infinity X's issue_tracker repository.
This repository is intended for reporting bugs related to the original, unmodified Project Infinity X ROM source. Please read the guidelines below carefully before opening an issue.
This tracker is intended only for ROM source-related bugs.
Examples of issues that may be appropriate:
- SystemUI or user-interface bugs originating from the ROM source
- Core ROM functionality issues
- Launcher issues caused by the ROM source
- Bugs in built-in applications
- Other reproducible issues affecting the original Infinity X source
The issue must be reproducible or reasonably traceable to the ROM source. Device-specific problems are outside the scope of this tracker.
Please do not open issues for:
- Device-specific problems
- Device tree issues
- Kernel issues
- Vendor blobs or firmware issues
- Device bring-up or hardware-specific problems
- Issues caused by unsupported modifications
- Third-party application compatibility issues, such as banking or payment applications
- Device update requests
- Requests to add a new device to the supported device list
- General ROM questions or queries
- General user support or troubleshooting requests
For device-specific issues, please use the relevant device support group or support channel.
All reports must be submitted while using the ROM in its stock state.
Before reporting, make sure that you have not applied or installed:
- Root modifications
- External root modules
- Unsupported system modifications
- Other changes that alter the original ROM environment
If an issue is found to be caused by user-applied modifications, the report will be closed. Further action may be taken in accordance with the project's contribution and moderation policies.
The lead maintainer will attempt to reproduce the issue using the steps provided in the report.
Please ensure that your reproduction steps are:
- Clear
- Accurate
- Complete
- Repeatable whenever possible
If the issue cannot be reproduced using the provided steps, the report may be closed with reproduction results or supporting evidence.
A report may also be closed if it is incomplete, unsupported, device-specific, unrelated to the ROM source, or does not follow the reporting requirements.
Please complete the following checklist:
- Confirm that the issue is related to the Infinity X ROM source.
- Confirm that the issue is not device-specific.
- Search existing issues to ensure that the report is not a duplicate.
- Use the ROM in its stock state.
- Remove external root modifications and modules before testing.
- Prepare accurate reproduction steps.
- Collect relevant logs.
- Include screenshots or videos when they help demonstrate the issue.
The issue form asks for the following information.
Provide your device model and codename.
This information is collected for reproduction context. It does not mean that device-specific issues are accepted by this tracker.
Select the Infinity X version being used:
- Infinity X 4.x --- Android 17
- Infinity X 3.x --- Android 16
Enter the complete ROM version along with the exact build date.
Example:
Infinity X v3.12 - 02/08/2026
Explain the issue clearly and include:
- What happened
- What you expected to happen
- How the issue affects the ROM
- Any relevant context
Provide precise steps that allow the lead maintainer to reproduce the issue.
Example:
1. Open Settings.
2. Navigate to the relevant section.
3. Change the specified option.
4. Observe the issue.
Expected behavior:
Describe what should happen.
Actual behavior:
Describe what actually happens.
Attach relevant logs whenever applicable.
Examples include:
- Logcat
- Dmesg
- Framework logs
- Relevant system component logs
Please redact sensitive information, including:
- Personal information
- Phone numbers
- Authentication tokens
- Other private data
Reports without relevant evidence may be closed when the available information is insufficient for investigation.
Attach screenshots or screen recordings when they help demonstrate the issue.
Explain what the attached media shows when necessary.
If you have an idea about the cause or a potential fix, you may include:
- Possible cause
- Suggested fix
- Relevant source file
- Relevant patch or commit
This section is optional, but technically useful suggestions are welcome.
Include any additional context that may help with diagnosis, such as:
- Related issues
- Relevant patches
- Additional reproduction details
- Other useful information
Issues are reviewed based on:
- Whether they fall within the scope of this tracker
- Whether the report follows the requirements
- Whether the issue can be reproduced
- Whether the issue is related to the original Infinity X ROM source
- Whether sufficient information and evidence have been provided
Issues that do not meet the requirements may be closed.
Please do not use this tracker for general support, device-specific troubleshooting, feature requests, or unrelated questions.
When submitting a report:
- Be accurate and honest.
- Do not intentionally misrepresent the cause of an issue.
- Do not submit duplicate reports.
- Do not include private or sensitive information in logs.
- Follow the issue form and provide complete details.
- Keep discussions relevant to the reported issue.
Repeated abuse, deliberate misrepresentation, or continued submission of unsupported reports may result in moderation action according to project policy.
