Summary

#1159 raised ART's Weave floor to weave>=0.54.0. The release install smoke test (package-install.yml, which runs only on release/ branches) still adds weave==0.52.41 to check that ART imports with its minimum Weave. That pin no longer resolves, so install-smoke-test fails on the v0.5.24 release PR (#1160):

Because only openpipe-art==0.5.24 is available and openpipe-art==0.5.24 depends on weave>=0.54.0 ... your project depends on openpipe-art and weave==0.52.41, we can conclude that your project's requirements are unsatisfiable.

Changes

• The smoke test pins weave==0.54.0, the new minimum.

Test plan

• Built the wheel with scripts/build_package.py --wheel and ran the "Smoke test base wheel import" step's Weave commands locally: uv add "weave==0.54.0", then from weave.trace.settings import override_settings; import art succeeds.
• install-smoke-test on Release v0.5.24 #1160 after this merges.
