  • traits: register "lamzu-atlantis" as a direct-mode family, so the debounce card appears for the Lamzu Atlantis and the Scyrox V8S with the driver's own 15 ms ceiling. Only the sleep card showed before, through its option list.
  • The lift-off slider and its labels use the driver's per-code heights (liftOffScale.millimetresByCode) when present, so the V8S's uneven 3955 steps read 0.7/0.9/1.2/1.4/1.6 mm instead of being interpolated.
  • Sync the supported-devices table from the landing page (Scyrox V8S).

Needs the @openmouse/protocol release that adds the Scyrox client and liftOffScale.millimetresByCode.

Note

Add Atlantis family debounce/sleep cards and list Scyrox V8S as supported

  • Adds the lamzu-atlantis family to the BY_FAMILY trait registry with DIRECT_MODE, so those devices get debounce and sleep cards
  • Adds Scyrox V8S to the supported-device table with product IDs 0xf515 and 0xf517
  • Adds a liftOffScaleMillimetres utility in controller.ts that uses a per-code millimetre table when present and falls back to endpoint interpolation; the lift-off handler and slider display in PerformanceCards.tsx now use it
  • Adds an availability test covering Atlantis-family debounce, sleep, and direct-mode traits
  • Behavioral Change: lift-off codes with driver-provided values now apply and display their exact millimetres instead of the interpolated value

Macroscope summarized 054c4ec.

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • New Features
    • Added support for the Scyrox V8S in the hardware test.
    • Enabled direct-mode features for Lamzu Atlantis devices, including advanced settings, sleep controls, and debounce options.
  • Improvements
    • Lift-off distance values now reflect device-specific scale measurements when available, with interpolation used otherwise. This improves the displayed millimetre value across supported scales.

Walkthrough

The controller now provides a shared lift-off scale millimetre calculation used by the controller and performance card. The device traits and supported-device table now include Scyrox support, with a test for card availability and direct-mode traits.

Changes: Lift-off scale values

Layer / File(s) Summary
Lift-off scale calculation and display

The exported helper returns a listed millimetre value when available and otherwise interpolates between scale endpoints. The controller and performance card use the helper.

Scyrox device support

Scyrox family and supported-device entry
src/device/traits.ts, src/features/hardware-test/supported-devices-data.ts, src/features/devices/cards/availability.test.ts
The lamzu-atlantis family maps to DIRECT_MODE. The supported-device table lists Scyrox V8S product IDs 0xf515 and 0xf517. A test checks debounce and sleep card availability and directMode.

Change: Feature

Suggested reviewers: onyxhq-dev

Merge Risk: Low · up to 054c4

The feature paths are internally consistent, but regeneration ownership and protocol compatibility should be confirmed before relying on the new device support.

Security architecture risk: Low · up to cbe8d

The changes remain within the selected mouse’s existing control path. No expanded permissions or new security issue was identified, but compatibility with the required driver release remains unverified.

Retained concerns
No architecture-level concerns identified.

Security review details

Security Blast Radius

  • inferred — The inspected setting paths affect the currently active HID client. The new family mapping exposes controls for that selected device rather than introducing a multi-device or cross-service writer.

Trust Boundaries and Controls

  • observed — Status-derived family and scale values influence presentation and available settings, not client selection. Debounce uses the driver-published ceiling or options, setting dispatch retains runtime method checks, and lift-off retains integer and range validation. These are existing control paths, not new authentication boundaries.

Resilience and Maintainability Implications

  • observed — The unchanged staging lifecycle replaces repeated changes by key and blocks staging during a write. Flashing removes changes only after successful application; failure leaves unapplied changes pending and attempts a status refresh. Device activation clears pending changes. This provides application-level recovery, not transactional rollback or proof of firmware-level interruption safety.

Explanation

The title names the two main changes in the PR: enabling debounce for the Lamzu Atlantis family and listing the Scyrox V8S as supported. The changeset adds Atlantis to the DIRECT_MODE traits, adds an availability test for it, and adds the Scyrox V8S (product IDs 0xf515 and 0xf517) to the supported-devices table. The title is specific and matches the main change. It does not mention the lift-off scale millimetre lookup or the protocol dependency bump, but the title does not need to cover every detail.

Approvability

Verdict: Needs Human Approval

Macroscope's review found this PR requires human approval — This PR adds user-facing debounce and sleep controls for Atlantis-family devices and changes lift-off scale presentation on production paths. The protocol dependency is aligned at 0.47.0, but the Scyrox supported-device row is only in a generated mirror whose canonical source was not updated, and the behavior is not an off-by-default additive option.

Update the protocol dependency before reading millimetresByCode.

@openmouse/protocol 0.45.2 does not declare millimetresByCode on MouseStatus["liftOffScale"]. Update package.json and package-lock.json to a release that declares this field before using it in src/device/controller.ts.

Update the canonical source before regenerating.

src/features/hardware-test/supported-devices-data.ts is generated from openmouse-landing-page/src/data/supported-mice.ts. Add the Scyrox V8S row and product IDs to the website source, then run the sync script. If only this generated file changes, a later sync can remove the entry and the product-ID crosscheck will stop matching Scyrox V8S.

…millimetresByCode

The Atlantis-family lift-off scale carries uneven step heights, and
0.45.2's MouseStatus["liftOffScale"] does not declare millimetresByCode,
so tsc failed on liftOffScaleMillimetres in the controller on a lockfile
install. 0.47.0 declares the field and carries the Scyrox V8S ids the
mirrored supported-devices table crosschecks.
