on Apr 3, 2026 Could you please consider to allow e-mail alias addresses from LDAP as well? I.e., a multi-value field that holds a users mail alias addresses. Ideally with a configurable field name, but also a fixed field name for aliases would be fine.
That would improve the integration in webmail apps (like SOGo, nextcloud mail) that are able to let the user choose a from-address from valid ldap mail aliases when sending mails, and at the same time use the value of the mail attribute as primary are of a user.

Repeat test case 3 and 4: now the LDAP alias entry must be visible if an Address with the same value overrides it.
This behavior is now aligned to User, which is always visible.

Since we allow edit of LDAP mail attribute, we can use it in Postfix LDAP queries that look up the user's email addresses.
Proposed enhancements
Add a new option to Mail domains "Add LDAP mail attribute addresses"
If Enforce Sender/Login match switch is enabled, the LDAP mail attribute is considered a valid sender address for the account, like other items of the Addresses page:
