AI tab and Email preferences.

  • AI (was AI Provider): Maple managed vs your own OpenRouter key as two cards; auto-triage moved here from Automation with one daily limit (model passes under Advanced limits) and the save bar with real validation errors. Orgs without the aiautotriage flag see the auto-triage rows disabled as "Coming soon". A card links escalation routing to Automation.
  • Email preferences (/account): shows who the digest goes to, day, hour and time zone (prefilled from the browser), scope pickers. Digests now send on the subscriber's local day and hour.
  • Backend: send_hour column (migration, default 9), validated day/hour/zone on upsert, a pure isDigestDue schedule, and claims guarded on the send window so a window crossing UTC midnight is attempted once.

Behaviour change: existing subscribers move from the first tick of Monday UTC to Monday 09:00 UTC. Moving the day right after a send skips to the next week (noted in the UI).

Verification

  • Digest schedule tests (zones, DST, idempotency, LA window crossing UTC midnight), service tests, upsert validation, db parity, AI limits tests. Local stack: migration applied cleanly on a fresh database; schedule saved (Wednesday, Europe/Berlin) and confirmed in Postgres.

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • New Features

    • Added email preferences for weekly operations and web analytics digests, including enablement, delivery day and time, time zone, scope, and previews.
    • Added AI settings for choosing a model provider, managing provider keys, configuring auto-triage limits, and accessing escalation routing.
    • Digest schedules now support a local delivery hour and more reliable weekly delivery across time zones and daylight saving changes.
  • Updates

    • Moved email digest preferences to the account’s email preferences tab.
    • Updated the investigation budget notice to link to AI settings.

…d a save bar

The AI tab now has two sections: a model provider choice (Maple managed or
your OpenRouter key, with the key form and add-on upsell inside the card) and
auto-triage (instant switch, investigations per day with today's usage,
model-pass ceiling under advanced limits). Limit edits go through the save bar
and show validation errors instead of silently reverting.
Adds a send_hour column (default 09:00) and computes whether a digest is due
on the subscriber's local clock with Effect DateTime instead of the UTC
weekday. Both the ops and web analytics digests use it; lastSentAt keeps sends
idempotent with a six day minimum gap, so moving the hour or zone after a send
does not resend. The upsert API validates the weekday, hour and IANA zone.
Moves the digest preferences under components/account. The page names the
recipient and organization, the two digest switches save instantly, and the
schedule (day, hour, time zone) and the namespace and environment scope save
through the settings save bar.

📝 Walkthrough

Digest subscriptions now support a local send hour, and digest ticks use local schedule and activity checks. The account page adds digest preference controls and previews. The AI settings page now includes provider selection, auto-triage controls, and an escalation card.

Changes: Digest scheduling and preferences

Layer / File(s) Summary
Digest schedule contract and persistence
packages/domain/src/http/digest.ts, packages/domain/src/http/digest.test.ts, packages/db/src/tables/digest.ts, packages/db/drizzle/.../migration.sql, apps/api/src/routes/internal/digest.http.ts
Digest subscription requests validate weekday, send hour, and named time zone values. The database stores a send hour with a default of 9, and the API forwards it to the digest service.
Local-time eligibility and tick claims
packages/backend/src/services/digest/digest-schedule.ts, packages/backend/src/services/digest/digest-schedule.test.ts, packages/backend/src/services/digest/DigestService.ts, packages/backend/src/services/digest/DigestService.test.ts, packages/backend/src/services/digest/WebAnalyticsDigestService.ts
Both digest services use shared local-time scheduling and recent activity checks. They claim subscriptions based on the resend window. Tests cover time zones, schedule boundaries, daylight-saving changes, and attempts across UTC midnight.
Account digest preference controls
apps/web/src/components/account/digest-preferences.ts, apps/web/src/components/account/digest-preferences.test.ts, apps/web/src/components/account/email-preferences-section.tsx, apps/web/src/components/settings/notifications-section.tsx, apps/web/src/routes/account.tsx
The account page adds schedule and scope drafts, preference controls, save and discard actions, and previews. The account route now renders this component instead of the removed notifications component.

AI provider and auto-triage settings

Layer / File(s) Summary
Model provider and OpenRouter key controls
apps/web/src/components/settings/ai-provider-section.tsx
The provider section supports Maple-managed and OpenRouter selections, key replacement and removal, and add-on attachment. A configured key remains visible when add-on entitlement has lapsed.
Auto-triage availability and limit drafts
apps/web/src/components/settings/ai-triage-limits.ts, apps/web/src/components/settings/ai-triage-limits.test.ts, apps/web/src/components/settings/ai-triage-settings-section.tsx, apps/web/src/components/settings/automation-section.tsx
Auto-triage settings now use availability gating and validated drafts for run and model-pass limits. The automation section no longer renders auto-triage settings.
AI settings page and automation routing
apps/web/src/components/settings/ai-escalation-card.tsx, apps/web/src/components/settings/settings-nav.tsx, apps/web/src/routes/investigations/index.tsx, apps/web/src/routes/settings.tsx
The AI tab groups provider controls, auto-triage settings, and an escalation card. The investigation limit link now opens the AI tab.

🟢 Confidence 8/10 · likely safe to merge
The pure schedule helper is pinned by zone/DST tests and the upsert cannot flip webAnalyticsEnabled; the one open defect is F1, a silent Save with no email.
quality 98/100 · 1 note · tests covered · risk medium · 1/1 new units observable

Moves digest delivery to the subscriber's local day and hour (send_hour column, window-guarded claims) and adds the AI tab plus an /account email-preferences section. The schedule logic is well tested and safe to merge once the previously reported silent Save with no primary email (F1) is fixed.

  • isDigestDue sends on the subscriber's local day, hour and zone
  • Digest claims guard on the send window, not UTC midnight
  • New /account email preferences: toggles, schedule, scope pickers

🟡 Confidence 6/10 · needs attention
Digest scheduling is pure, read end to end and well tested; the AI key panel now loses its only Remove path for a lapsed add-on.
quality 88/100 · 1 warning · 1 note · tests partial · risk medium · 2/2 new units observable

Reworks the AI settings tab (provider cards, triage limits, save bar) and rebuilds digest preferences with a per-subscriber local day/hour/timezone schedule, backed by a send_hour migration and a pure isDigestDue. Backend scheduling and validation are tested and sound; one UI regression on the OpenRouter key panel needs a fix.

  • Digest subscribers gain send_hour plus day/hour/timezone scheduling
  • isDigestDue claims a row only inside the subscriber's local send window
  • AI provider and auto-triage merge into one AI settings tab
  • Setup audit probes the warehouse instead of trusting the first-data stamp

Findings

🟠 Warning · F2 · Lapsed add-on leaves the saved OpenRouter key with no way to remove it

correctness · apps/web/src/components/settings/ai-provider-section.tsx:179-181

OpenRouterKeyPanel returns <AddOnUpsell> before the saved-key branch whenever !current.entitled, so the app's only openRouterKey/remove call site (ai-provider-section.tsx:68) is unreachable for an organization that saved a key and then let the add-on lapse: the key stays stored and the panel offers only "Add to plan". The upsell already renders that key's hint, so pass onRemove down and keep the saved-key row with Remove next to the add-on button, gating only the form on entitlement.

Give `AddOnUpsell` the `onRemove` callback and render the saved-key row (code + Remove) when `current.configured`, below the "not in use because the add-on has lapsed" note.

F2's fix is verified end to end, but the lapsed-remove UI branch has no test and F1 still stands in the email Save path.
quality 98/100 · 1 note · tests partial · risk medium

Adds the AI tab (provider cards and auto-triage) and account email preferences, and makes digests send on the subscriber's local day and hour from a new send_hour column. The head's fix for the lapsed add-on is correct; safe to merge.

  • ModelProviderSection splits the provider into two radio cards
  • A lapsed add-on now offers Remove for the saved key
  • AutoTriageSection moves to the AI tab behind the entitlement flag
  • Digests send from send_hour on the subscriber's own clock

Preview test (app-pr-1531, head 2d24089)

Two runs by a separate verification agent (headless Chromium, 1440x900, signed in as the preview user). Everything below passed on the latest deploy.

Area Result
Nav + legacy ?tab= redirects pass
General: save bar, unsaved-changes guard (also after a revert while a save is in flight), Kept list in the delete dialog, rename round trip pass
Members list + invite dialog pass (role confirm untested: single-member org)
Billing: cycle panel, usage units, unlimited meter, cap editor rejects 1e / abc pass
Audit log: readable labels, Resource/Source at 1440, filters in the URL, before/after detail pass
Keys: one table, no horizontal scroll, create + revoke API key (both audited) pass
MCP: per-client setup, connected clients, 82 tools grouped + search pass
Ingestion sampling: single-field PATCH ({"trace_sample_ratio":0.5}), reload, audit entry lists only that field pass
Setup health: "36 of 44 checks passing", severity order, one action per finding (routing, alert create, templates, service chip, docs anchors), no internal ids, Re-run pass (was stuck on "No telemetry yet" before the first-data fix in #1529)
Automation, AI, Email preferences pass

Known, not from this stack: /internal/billing/profile 502s because the preview org has no billing customer (handled in the UI); the digest endpoint answers 404 for an unsubscribed user (also on main).

Schedule helper, both tick guards and the migration agree and are pinned by zone/DST tests; only the pre-existing no-primary-email save path is left unfixed.
quality 98/100 · 1 note · tests covered · risk medium

Rebuilds the AI tab (provider cards, auto-triage with a save bar, escalation link) and the account email preferences, and makes digests fire on the subscriber's local day and hour. The schedule logic is sound and covered by tests; the earlier no-primary-email save issue is still open.

  • AutoTriageSection splits into AutoTriageTeaser (outside the rollout) and the save-bar form
  • Digests send on the subscriber's local day, hour and zone via isDigestDue
  • Tick filter and claim both guard on the 6-day digestResendCutoffMs

🎯 Functional Correctness | 🟡 Minor | ⚡ Quick win

Keep "Advanced limits" open while the model-pass draft is invalid.

defaultOpen={!passesError.ok} only applies on the first mount. The saved value is always valid, so in practice the section mounts closed. Here is how the problem happens:

  1. The user opens "Advanced limits".
  2. The user types an invalid value, such as 5000.
  3. The user collapses the section.

The FieldError is then hidden inside the closed CollapsiblePanel. SettingsSaveBar still shows "Unsaved changes", but Save stays disabled (saveDisabled={!update.ok}). Nothing visible tells the user why. Control the open state so the section stays open while passesError is not ok.

  • Both digest ticks use PG.from(DigestSubscriptions).select(), so the new send_hour column is in the rows and rowToResponse is not handed undefined
  • Re-read email-preferences-section.tsx at head: if (!email) return false still returns silently and the save bar stays enabled

Maple review

🟢 Confidence 9/10 · safe to merge
Schedule, claim and migration verified against the tests, the repo's own 0=Sunday mapping and the table defaults; the one earlier finding (!email save) still stands.
quality 98/100 · 1 note · tests covered · risk medium · 1/1 new units observable

Adds a per-subscriber digest sendHour (local day, hour and zone) to both digests, moves email preferences to /account and auto-triage to the AI tab. Safe to merge; the switch guards gained !email, but Save remains a silent no-op for a user with no primary email (earlier finding, still open).

  • Digest ticks now fire on the subscriber's local day and hour (isDigestDue)
  • Both digests share one six-day resend gap, so moving a day waits a week
  • Auto-triage moves to the AI tab with one daily ceiling plus Advanced limits
  • Email preferences move to /account with day, hour, zone and scope pickers

  • Claim and tick filter use the same cutoff, so one window is attempted once (DigestService.ts:1041, 1102)
  • send_hour migration default 9 matches the table default, so inserts omitting it are safe (tables/digest.ts:20)

Code Review analytics, a PR review sheet, the CI tab and a failed CI run's trace.
CI runs come from scripts/seed-ci-runs.ts against acme/web.

🟢 Confidence 7/10 · likely safe to merge
The scheduling change moves every subscriber's digest time and is pinned by zone/DST tests, but the no-primary-email save path from F1 is still a silent no-op.
quality 98/100 · 1 note · tests covered · risk medium · 2/2 new units observable

Moves auto-triage onto the AI tab with provider cards and adds email preferences with a local day/hour/zone digest schedule (new send_hour column, backend-validated, isDigestDue + a 6-day claim window). Logic is well pinned by tests; the only open defect is the silent no-op save for a user with no primary email.

  • isDigestDue decides sends on the subscriber's local day/hour/zone
  • Digest claims now guard on a 6-day resend cutoff, not UTC midnight
  • send_hour column (default 9) plus day/hour/zone validation on upsert
  • Auto-triage limits move to the AI tab behind SettingsSaveBar
