Add palette, contrast, range, and visibility controls for slice images, plus overlay opacity and background transparency. Persist settings across views, layouts, and saved sessions.
Load ten original CT slices and ten PET slices directly from TCIA URLs, with PET layered over CT. Compact the sample cards and collect dataset citations in the application help dialog.

Adds shared 2D overlay controls for color map, live min/max range, opacity, and background transparency. Settings persist across layouts and saved sessions. Scalar overlays use background transparency by default, fading in over the first 10% of the display range above Min to reveal the underlying anatomy.
Adds a PET/CT chest sample that loads ten original DICOM slices per modality directly from TCIA using a flat list of URLs, about 6.1 MB total. Sample cards are more compact, with source citations grouped in Help.
