Collaborator

Reorganises /team around who is working with the CoLab now and who has worked with it before.

Page order

  1. Meet the Team — new heading and description.
  2. Founder — Yorke Rhodes, moved up to sit under the hero.
  3. Current members
    • Collaborators and Researchers: India Clarke, Kirsten Co, Adeline Daab, Alex Du, Carolina de Almeida Pernambuco Moron, Yago Rocha, Hannah Zhao.
    • Advisors: Brianna Gabaldon.
    • One person per row, with a large photo, role and organisation, and a short bio.
  4. Past members
    • Cohorts: one column per cohort, Summer 2026 first, with a divider between columns. The row scrolls sideways once there are more cohorts than fit. Each column records that group as it was, so current members also appear in the cohort they came through. Cards show a photo, name and LinkedIn link, sorted by surname.
    • Advisors: Teresa Cantero, Susan deMenil, Nathaniel Fossella, Sylvia G. Maier.
  5. The organisations behind the work.

How it works

  • Current members are a list of profile slugs in team.currentMembers in src/content/site.ts. A current member who is also in advisors shows under Current → Advisors. Everyone else on the list shows under Current → Collaborators and Researchers. A slug that matches no profile fails the build.
  • Past collaborators are covered by the cohort columns, so there is no separate past collaborators list. A collaborator who is not on the current list does not appear on the page.
  • Susan deMenil moved from collaborators to advisors, and her role changed to "Advisor".
  • The small labels above each section and the "Click any organisation" hint are removed.
  • ResearchersExplorer is deleted. It rendered the old "The Cohort" section and nothing else used it.

Commits

  • Reorganise the team page into current and past members: the source change.
  • Re-sync static-site after the team page reorganisation: the regenerated snapshot. Most of its diff is the new CSS chunk filename in every page. Real content changes are limited to the team pages.

Still to do

  • Kai was on the list of current members but has no profile in the site's data. They need a profile entry (name, role, photo, LinkedIn, bio) before they can be added to currentMembers.
  • The portfolio page's cohort card still links to /team#researchers, which no longer exists.
  • The home page's "The people building this." card no longer matches the new team page heading.

Testing

  • tsc and eslint pass.
  • npm run sync:static then npm run check:snapshot reports static-site/ matches src/.
  • Checked /team in headless Chromium at 1440px, 1100px, 700px and 390px. The sections and people are as listed above, and the page reports no errors. The three cohort columns span exactly the width of the other sections, and on narrow screens the row scrolls without the page scrolling sideways.
  • npm run check:content could not run locally because it needs Node 24 and the machine has Node 22. CI will run it.

The page now runs: founder, current members, past members, then the
organisations. Current members are listed by slug in team.currentMembers;
a current member in the advisors list shows under Current → Advisors, and
anyone else under Current → Collaborators and Researchers. Current members
are one to a row, with a large photo and a short bio.

Past members opens with the cohorts, one column per term with a hairline
divider between them, scrolling sideways once they run past the page. Each
column is a record of that group as it was, so Summer 2026 is now among
them and a current member is still listed in the cohort they came through.
Cards are a photo, a name, and LinkedIn, in surname order, built like the
other grids on the page. Past advisors follow; past collaborators are
covered by the cohorts, so that list is gone. Susan deMenil moves to the
advisors.

The heading is now "Meet the Team", with a new description, and the small
eyebrow tags and the click hint above each section are removed.

/font-lab was a throwaway page for choosing the wordmark face, not linked
from the nav, and its own comment asked for it to be deleted once a face
was picked. It had also started failing the snapshot check: next/font/google
fetches each family's @font-face rules at build time, and Google was
returning different unicode-range lists from one build to the next, so the
page's CSS chunk got a new content-hashed name on every build. Two CI
attempts on the same commit disagreed with each other, so no committed
snapshot could stay in sync.

UPD-016 is updated: the font lab is done, the /print/ question is not.

…eadings

Add the two new members to Researchers & Collaborators with their
headshots (resized to the 384px team budget) and LinkedIn links, and
add Adeline Daab's LinkedIn. Rename the collaborators heading to
"Researchers & Collaborators", make subsection headings lime accent
caps, and set cohort titles in smaller white type so they read as a
lower tier than the cohort subheading.

Mechanical output of `npm run sync:static` for the team page changes,
kept as its own commit as CONTRIBUTING.md section 4 asks.

Advisors now sits between Current members and Founder, rather than
after Past members, with the section backgrounds rebalanced to keep
the alternating stripe pattern. Nathaniel Fossella moves from the
Advisors list into the Fall 2025 cohort roster, with the cohort's
stated researcher count updated to match.
