Hello, I'm Emma πŸͺ

Planetary geophysics β€’ Scientific software β€’ Moon & planetary interiors

I study planetary interiors and build computational tools to connect thermodynamics, geophysics, and spacecraft observations.

πŸŒ™ About Me

πŸš€ I am currently a Visiting Student Researcher at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), working on numerical models of planetary interiors, with a current focus on the Moon.

πŸŒ™ My research combines thermodynamics, mineral physics, and geophysical modelling to investigate lunar interior structure, composition, and its connection to geophysical observations.

πŸŽ“ My background spans Planetary Sciences & Space Exploration at Paris Observatory and Paris-Saclay University, followed by an Advanced Master's in Space Systems Engineering at ISAE-SUPAERO.

πŸ›°οΈ Before JPL, I worked at the European Space Agency (ESA), contributing to JUICE and developing tools supporting coordinated observations for BepiColombo.

πŸ’» Somewhere along the way, I also became very interested in scientific software, automation, and turning research workflows into reusable open-source tools.

πŸ” Projects & contributions

Alongside my research software, this GitHub also hosts personal projects, side experiments, and tools I build for fun or everyday use.

πŸ›°οΈ SolarConflux

Multi-spacecraft alignment tool developed during my time at ESA to identify opportunities for coordinated observations.

Built to support BepiColombo and explore scientifically interesting spacecraft geometries across multiple missions.

My professional portfolio bringing together my research, education, space mission experience, projects, publications, and conference contributions.

Toolkit for building, testing, and analysing planetary equations of state with Perple_X.

Designed to automate thermodynamic modelling workflows and improve their reproducibility and validation.

πŸͺ PlanetProfile

Open-source framework for modelling planetary interiors, to which I contribute as a collaborator.

My work includes thermal, rheological, and convection modelling for planetary interior applications.
