Publish Comic Manifest v1 contracts, implementation and documentation #99
Description
Parent epic: #6
Summary
Publish Comic Manifest v1 contracts, implementation and documentation for Comic Manifest v1.
Ownership and dependencies
- Repositories: codex and platform; studio closeout.
- Depends on: Create Comic Manifest conformance and security reference suite #98.
- Plan position: 12 of 12.
Scope and deliverables
- Finalize public API/CLI, contract and adapter guides, review workflow, compatibility/deprecation and known limitations.
- Verify preceding tasks, owner approvals, Constitution alignment, licensing, locked dependency audit and local/CI conformance.
- Publish new immutable Codex contracts, independently verify downloaded artifacts and adopt exact references in a reviewed Platform change.
- Build and publish reviewed implementation/source/lock/verification artifacts, verify fresh downloads and document Epic Epic 7 - Build Orchestrator #101 handoff.
Acceptance criteria
- All preceding tasks are complete and owner-reviewed, with passing offline tests and supported CI.
- Contract and implementation releases have verified exact tags, commits, URIs, media types, byte sizes and digests.
- SDK, Context Package and Context Builder immutable artifacts remain unchanged.
- Epic Epic 6 - Comic Manifest #6 closes only after actual publication verification; no npm publication or visibility change is inferred.
Implementation guardrails
Follow Constitution v1.0.0 at a9cc8a503aa30e17820edc62ac95f7cbe10e0564 and the boundaries in #6. Use public/synthetic fixtures only. Preserve released Prompt SDK v1, Context Package v1 and Context Builder v1 bytes. Add focused tests and documentation with implementation; the suite task consolidates rather than postpones testing. No implicit retrieval, permission renewal, direct Lore checkout, silent declassification, self-approval or canon promotion. Normative gaps belong in Codex. Orchestration, rendering, production trust onboarding and creative canon remain separately scoped. Creating this issue does not authorize implementation or publication.
Verified closeout — 2026-10-11
Completed under the owner's task-specific Epic 6 AI code-review authorization, separate golden approval, and explicit exact-artifact publication approvals. This does not claim separate human technical review by the assistant.

f0672d90a47473da6a27614cad07abc175546d67. - Independent fresh unauthenticated downloads verified all eight Platform asset sizes and SHA-256 values against the owner-approved packet; tag target and immutable/non-draft/non-prerelease state verified. Codex's three assets were independently verified separately.
- Publication proof and exact tuples; reviewed closeout PR #45.
- CI: Node 22/24 pass, 701 tests, 326 Comic Manifest checks, 307 Context Builder checks, 29 protected fixtures unchanged. Locked dependency audit: zero findings.
- Existing SDK, Context Package and Context Builder immutable releases were preserved; compatibility lock snapshots match the reviewed source. No npm publication or visibility change occurred.
- API, limitations and Epic #101 handoff. This closes Epic 6 only and does not authorize Epic Epic 7 - Build Orchestrator #101 execution or creative/canon publication.

Historical qualification and present-day correction — 2026-10-13
Append-only clarification; the issue body, checked boxes, closure date, release tuples, and publication evidence are preserved.
When this issue closed on 2026-10-11, the checked statement “All preceding tasks are complete and owner-reviewed” was not an accurate contemporaneous statement: Studio #88 remained closed with its owner-review acceptance box unchecked, and ADR 0018 was still Proposed. Do not read that checkbox as proof that architecture review had already occurred by the close date.
On 2026-10-13 at 11:47:50.998442 UTC, Andrew Peris confirmed he held the listed approval capacities and approved the exact reviewed package. He accepted ADR 0018 at Studio revision
7b5065cef76bea9580609caba356b0d8fe7cc17cfor the synthetic/offline boundary and adopted the bounded Codex and Platform advisory findings. See Studio PR #147, currently at headb45cd61172b5e2da1f57ab0ceedbbbc349a9f89d, and the approved PR #146 proposal heada9935f8fcab04396b3ba5f8077620ca167291933.The issue’s exact-artifact publication records remain intact. Platform’s documentation correction merged as PR #46, commit
4779be4d64bcc68aab5785c12779427cc48336eb.The accepted constitutional assessment retains its historical Fail findings and overall Not assessed status. The October 6 AI-review/merge instruction was not a registered Article 12.7 exception; this later acceptance does not legalize it retroactively or claim whole-history conformance. A dated additive correction to the Codex source wording is proposed in PR #17 at head

6c695451f8f4135ff71aff6eef4e254cbcd2797d. It is draft/open for independent verification. Platform’s documentation correction remains merged at4779be4d64bcc68aab5785c12779427cc48336eb.These updates do not rewrite this issue’s historical checkbox, reopen it, or close Epic #6.
