# Comic Manifest v1 review-instruction record correction — 2026-10-13

**Purpose:** Correct the description of the owner’s October 6, 2026 instruction in the
historical [Comic Manifest v1 release-preparation record](https://github.com/DefinitelySecureStudio/codex/blob/12e437e30328a3bb9cd2d15e6307a70b4b7e0e2a/releases/comic-manifest-v1.md).
This is a dated source addendum. The earlier record and the immutable release remain
part of the history.

## Corrected description

On 2026-10-06, the owner explicitly authorized AI code review and merge for Epic #6
after being asked about the Constitution’s human-review requirement. The instruction
was a task-specific owner authorization. It was **not** a formally approved or
registered temporary constitutional exception under Article 12.7.

The phrase “A3 AI-review exception” in the linked release-preparation record is
therefore inaccurate. The owner instruction did not itself supply the exact approved
exception record, the required affected A4 approvals, or registration before
activation. The Constitution says an exception becomes active only after approval
of the exact record and entry in the [Studio exception register](https://github.com/DefinitelySecureStudio/studio/blob/3cd52a8f9c6307cd0ce2779fcef051131db097a7/CONSTITUTION_EXCEPTIONS.md).
That register lists no active or historical exception at the cited Studio revision.
Article 12.7 does not permit a present-day decision to retroactively legalize
completed conduct.

The accurate description is: **the owner gave a task-specific instruction authorizing
AI code review and merge for Epic #6; no formal Article 12.7 exception was
registered for that instruction.** This correction records that history; it does not
erase the owner’s instruction or convert it into an exception.

## Scope and non-effects

This correction concerns the description of the past code-review instruction only.
It does not alter the owner’s separate exact-artifact publication approvals, any
published bytes, the Codex tag `contract/comic-manifest/v1.0.0` or its target
`12e437e30328a3bb9cd2d15e6307a70b4b7e0e2a`, or any release asset. No exception is
created, renewed, backdated or requested. No constitutional policy is amended or
weakened, and no whole-history `Conforming` status is claimed. The historical
review-record finding remains as recorded in the accepted Studio closeout
assessment.

For later review-sensitive changes, record the human reviewer’s authorized capacity
and exact source revision before describing a change as human-reviewed. Preserve
ordinary required review. Do not infer review or constitutional status from an issue
closure, a release approval, an AI instruction or a validator result.

## Provenance

- Constitution v1.0.0: tag `constitution/v1.0.0`, Studio commit
[`a9cc8a503aa30e17820edc62ac95f7cbe10e0564`](https://github.com/DefinitelySecureStudio/studio/tree/a9cc8a503aa30e17820edc62ac95f7cbe10e0564);
[Article 12.7](https://github.com/DefinitelySecureStudio/studio/blob/a9cc8a503aa30e17820edc62ac95f7cbe10e0564/CONSTITUTION.md#127-temporary-constitutional-exceptions).
- Exception-register snapshot:
[Studio commit `3cd52a8f9c6307cd0ce2779fcef051131db097a7`](https://github.com/DefinitelySecureStudio/studio/blob/3cd52a8f9c6307cd0ce2779fcef051131db097a7/CONSTITUTION_EXCEPTIONS.md).
- Epic and historical tasks: [Studio #6](https://github.com/DefinitelySecureStudio/studio/issues/6),
[#88](https://github.com/DefinitelySecureStudio/studio/issues/88), and
[#99](https://github.com/DefinitelySecureStudio/studio/issues/99).
- The owner’s October 6 instruction is cited by date from the task transcript. No
public permalink for that instruction was supplied, so this record does not invent
one.

This addendum is source documentation on a later commit. It does not move a tag or
rebuild, replace, or republish an immutable release artifact.
