Analysis of issue #2: "The game title is missing"

    • Read the issue and trigger comment
    • Survey the repo's games to see which ones lack a title
    • Post analysis (no code changes made, since you asked for analysis only)

The requirement is ambiguous. The issue says "the game" but doesn't name one, and this repo has several game scripts.

Game File Title shown at start?
Treasure Island 04-day-3/treasure-island-game.py Yes. It prints an ASCII-art banner and "Welcome to Treasure Island."
Rock Paper Scissors 05-day-4-randomisation-python-lists/rock-paper-scissors.py No. It goes straight to the prompt, with no title or welcome line.
Hangman 07-day-7/main.py Yes. It prints logo from hangman_art.py.
Silent auction (bid) 09-day-9-dictionaries/bid.py Yes. It prints logo from art.py.
Blackjack 11-day-11/blackjack.py Yes. It prints logo from art.py at the start of each round.

Most likely target: rock-paper-scissors.py. It is the only game with no title or welcome text.

Proposed change, once confirmed: add a title print at the top of rock-paper-scissors.py, after import random. It would be either a plain "Rock Paper Scissors" heading or an ASCII-art banner like the other games use. This is a small change of about 3–5 lines, with no logic or tests affected. Could the title be shown on every launch, or is a one-time welcome line enough?

    Questions for you:

    1. Is Rock Paper Scissors the game you mean? If it's another one, which?
    2. Do you want a simple text title or an ASCII-art banner (matching Hangman and Blackjack)?
    3. Should the AIHR project (13-AIHR), a Django web app, be considered too? I assumed not, since it isn't a game.

Reply with your answers and mention @claude again, and I'll implement it and push a branch.

Analysis of issue #2: "The game title is missing"

Correction to my earlier analysis. I previously guessed the game was Rock Paper Scissors in the Python course folders. That was wrong. The issue names 03-claude-tetris, which is 87-ClaudeCode/03-claude-tetris/, a vanilla JS, HTML5 Canvas Tetris. I haven't made any code changes.

    What's missing today

    • index.html sets <title>Tetris</title>, so the browser tab shows a name.
    • Nothing on the page itself names the game. The body holds only the board canvas and a side panel (SCORE, LINES, LEVEL, NEXT, CONTROLS).
    • The only large text is the "GAME OVER" overlay.
    • So a player who opens the page doesn't see what they are playing, which matches the issue.

Proposed change (small, with no game-logic impact)

    1. index.html: add a visible heading, e.g. <h1 class="title">TETRIS</h1>, above .game-container inside .wrapper.
    2. style.css: style it to match the existing look.
      • Centered, with letter-spacing similar to #overlay-title (about 4px) and a heavy weight.
      • Colour #7aa2f7, the accent used for values and the restart button, with some bottom margin.
    3. Layout: body is a flex row, so .wrapper would need a column layout or the heading would sit beside the game. The .overlay is position: absolute; inset: 0 on .wrapper, so the heading would sit under the overlay's blur. Either:
      • put the heading and .game-container in an inner container and keep the overlay anchored to the game container only, or
      • leave the overlay covering the title too (simplest).
    4. Docs (optional): the CLAUDE.md DOM id list doesn't need changes unless I give the heading an id and game.js reads it, which isn't needed.

    Questions

    1. Is "TETRIS" fine, or do you want a different name (e.g. "Claude Tetris", matching the folder)?
    2. Is a heading above the board right, or would you rather put the title in the side panel?
    3. Should the "GAME OVER" overlay cover the title, or only the board?

Reply with your answers and mention @claude again, and I'll implement it, or tell me to go with my defaults. My defaults would be "TETRIS", centered above the board, and an overlay covering only the board.

Added the game title to Tetris

    • Read the issue and the repo's CLAUDE.md
    • Add a visible TETRIS heading to index.html
    • Style it in style.css
    • Commit and push

What changed (87-ClaudeCode/03-claude-tetris/), using the defaults from my analysis:

    • index.html: added <h1 class="title">TETRIS</h1> above the board. The board and side panel are now wrapped in a .play-area div.
    • style.css:
      • .wrapper is now a centered column.
      • .title is 32px, weight 800, 4px letter-spacing, in the #7aa2f7 accent colour.
      • The "GAME OVER" overlay is now anchored to .play-area, so it covers the game area (board and side panel) and no longer covers the title.

I haven't opened the page in a browser, so the layout is unchecked. No JS changed, and the DOM ids game.js reads are untouched.
