📌 Status

This project is under active development. Feedback and suggestions are always welcome.

About the Source Code

The IDE is currently closed source to allow for faster iteration and development. Once the project reaches a stable state, parts of the source code will be open-sourced.

Transparency & Network Privacy

ACSIDE is closed source for now, so you shouldn't have to take my word for what it does on the network.

  • No telemetry. No analytics, no usage tracking, no silent crash reporting. If the IDE crashes, you get a crash screen with a "Send report" button that opens your browser to a pre-filled GitHub issue. Nothing is sent unless you submit it.
  • AI Agent: you bring your own API keys. Requests go directly from your device to the model server you chose, end to end, and never pass through my servers.
  • Updates and plugins come from open GitHub repos: updater.json and androidcs-plugins.

Don't trust me, check: run Reqable or any Android network monitor and look at which hosts the IDE contacts. You should only see GitHub, package and SDK repositories, and the AI provider you configured. If you see anything else, please open an issue.
