What

/5plus3 council on metta-datalog-assimilation-v1 — decisions A–H and the W1–W3 tranche (D-ASM-1..4). Docs only; nothing is authorized to build, D-ASM-1..4 stay Queued.

Sequence

  • Phase 0: spec v1; premise-auditor → PREMISE-SPLIT, stamp sub-premise PREMISE-WRONG; six code claims re-read and confirmed; spec re-asked as v1.1 before any savant was cast.
  • Phase 1: five savants, one parallel spawn → 49 findings (CONFIRMS 17 · PRIOR-ART-AT 7 · GAP 11 · RISK 12 · VIOLATES 3).
  • Phase 2: draft v2 + ledger.
  • Phase 3: three reviewers on v2 only → 0 BLOCK, 2 FIX-P1, 16 FIX-P2.
  • Phase 4/5: ratified v3 landed.

What the council changed, by name

was now
join "in relalg" existence half = quack Filter::{Semijoin, EqU32Via} (as D-MTP-1 shipped); relalg untouched; Datalog values in metta::datalog lowering to quack Query
bag from a "terminal", Keep + CountKeyRunsU32 bag = keyed count Terminal::GroupReduce{Count} (Local / same-table Pair); CountKeyRunsU32 is COUNT(DISTINCT), the dedup falsifier; cross-table projections refused
"existing label codebook" a new u16 LabelCodebook, mints at add only, id 0 reserved, CodebookFull at 65,535
"refused at add" SpaceMut::add returns (): route at add (inner GroundingSpace, counted by kind), refuse at query (Error atoms); two tagged answer categories
b4_nondeterm as the multiplicity gate every b4 fact is an = rule → b4 is the ROUTING fixture; a purpose-built bag fixture + e1_kb_write test the fold
"golden 32/33" hyperon-probe/golden is absent; the 26-script baseline is measured first
stamp "travels as an atom" DECISION: an evidence lane beside the atom, never inside; reserved lane written 3 = NO_PROVENANCE
64 × u8 per-row compound-term tenant (W5) interned frame-side term table + 16-byte reference (+64 B/row struck)

… plan amendments, board rows

/5plus3 on `metta-datalog-assimilation-v1` decisions A–H and the W1–W3 tranche.
Premise gate returned PREMISE-SPLIT (stamp sub-premise PREMISE-WRONG) before any
savant was cast; 5 savants → 49 findings; 3 reviewers on draft v2 → 0 BLOCK,
2 FIX-P1, 16 FIX-P2; all applied.

Lands (docs only, nothing authorized to build):
- `.claude/plans/metta-datalog-assimilation-v1-council-v3.md` — the executable
spec for D-ASM-1..4 with gates G1–G9 (existence half via quack
  `Filter::Semijoin`/`EqU32Via`; bag = `GroupReduce{Count}` keyed count,
`CountKeyRunsU32` is the dedup falsifier; u16 label codebook minting at
  `add` only; `LanceSpace` routes at `add` / refuses at `query`; one named
exit `materialize_bindings`; reserved evidence lane written NO_PROVENANCE).
- ⊘ council notes on plan decisions A–E, G and the §6 stamp OPEN (now a
DECISION: a lane beside the atom, never inside it); `metta-polyfill-v1.md`
§5 "never stored as text" → "never stored as rows".
- STATUS_BOARD: D-ASM-1..5, D-MTP-2 (= D-ASM-4), D-RA-3 reworded; all still
  Queued (not authorized).
- TECH_DEBT: procedures-crate re-route, missing metta CI line,
  `contract/nars.rs` InferenceType doc drift.
- Entry `entries/2026-10-16-metta-datalog-assimilation-council-v3.md`;
AGENT_LOG council record (main-thread writer); entries index and
  supersession index regenerated last.

…y gate)

The gate recovers the NEAREST backticked symbol as each citation's anchor;
in dense table rows that was prose, not the symbol at the target. Every
flagged citation now stands in its own backtick span followed by the
`pub enum` / `pub struct` / `pub fn` line that is actually at the cited
location. No line number was "corrected"; the anchor is what moved.
Local run: 0 new decays, 134 pre-existing backlog unchanged.

… records

The board, the metta-polyfill plan, the D-MTP-0 entry and the council v3
spec all said the expression-width panic "has no fix yet / needs the
operator's word". Read from the fork, not the board: `1ffdbd6`
(fix-trie-key-value, id decoding above 1023) is upstream PR
trueagi-io/hyperon-experimental#1107 (head == 1ffdbd6), and `5c9afd4` on
ccr-9f3b8075-74u47l-trie-expr-width (2026-10-14, failing tests first in
b5ae248) splits the TrieKey value bits so width is bounded by trie
recursion depth, not TK_MAX_EXPRESSION_SIZE. Neither is on the fork's
main, so the lance-graph pin at 3f76dc4 still panics; the open item is
merging/upstreaming, not writing. STATUS_BOARD row reworded; ⊘ notes in
both plans; addendum appended to the 2026-10-14 entry (not rewritten).

The D-MTP-4 row said both trie fixes were on a fork branch awaiting merge.
AdaWorldAPI/hyperon-experimental#1 merged at e55dc61, so fork main now
carries both; lance-graph still pins 3f76dc4. The remaining step is the
pin bump, recorded as OPEN and not done here.

…channel, N4, D-ASM-5, D-MTP-2 gate)

Two P1s verified in code: Filter::Semijoin yields a survivor mask and
GroupReduce{Count} counts each head row once, so a foreign fan-out of k
contributes 1 where a bag join contributes k (R-3 limit, G2b split into a
head-fan-out arm claimed equal and a foreign-fan-out arm pinned two-sided,
N1c filed); Space::query returns only a BindingsSet and add returns (), so
the named refusals get a channel: try_query, a counted empty on the trait
path, and a grounded op whose ExecError becomes the Error atom; CodebookFull
is routing at add. Three P2s: N4 no longer contradicts R-9; plan §E and the
D-ASM-5 row describe the interned term table, not the struck per-row
tenant; the D-MTP-2 gate names the 26-script baseline, not 32/33 golden
files that do not exist. Text only; W1–W3 stay unauthorized.

#1576

Maps #1560-#1576 onto the 2026-10-15 ledger correction: nine closed ends
(O22 verdict, R1 grid, 59..60 one field, one operand dictionary per epoch,
mapping inventory, stamp as evidence lane, version clock, rejected hydrate
guard, board catch-up), merged items (O25+K2, N1+decision 2 = D-HL-5 H4,
ablation+N15+D-ASM, DOC-WIRE) and new ones (O29, O30, BAND-RETIRE,
N16-N21). Adds the six missing PR arc entries and a LATEST_STATE catch-up.
